Helen Hunt Is Leveraging Aging As An Opportunity To Stop Caring What Other People Think
Regardless if she's acting or making off-screen appearances, "As Good as It Gets" star Helen Hunt is undeniably beautiful. Time has inevitably passed, however, and to some, Hunt may stand among other famous '90s actors who are practically unrecognizable now. Still, the stunning actor has remained as authentic as can be, and she deserves all the respect for it.
In a June 2025 interview with NewBeauty, Hunt explained that aging hasn't obstructed her from living her best life. In fact, she's grown desensitized from the public's opinion of her and her changing appearance. "The things that you hear are true," Hunt said. "There is definitely a little bit less of giving a s***—especially when it comes to what other people think." This has led her to changing how she views herself, too. "I find myself letting go of being overly self-deprecating. And, if I start to do that, I notice that I'm doing it," she explained. Hunt continued that she's come to terms with the notion she's still human and, thus, has imperfections. Despite the inevitable changes brought upon her by aging, Hunt is still as gorgeous now as she was in her heyday, and her honesty about aging is oh-so refreshing.
Helen Hunt's confidence translates to beauty
"Hacks" star Helen Hunt made it abundantly obvious she doesn't give a hoot about aging, and her confidence in her golden years translates well to her off-screen appearances. For instance, photos from the Vanity Fairy Oscar Party in March 2026 show that she still exudes all the aura she did at the height of her career. Hunt proudly sported a graying blond bob, a hairstyle perfect for older women with fine hair, and forewent exorbitant makeup to show off her face. "Got dolled up to celebrate the movies," she wrote in an Instagram caption at the time.
Though she's had plenty of fashionable moments, Hunt has also shown the public her more vulnerable side, including in an October 2025 post in which she gave fans an up-close look at her appearance outside of celebrity functions. Hunt retained a confident image without any red carpet attire or makeup, rocking a modest blue Los Angeles Dodgers T-shirt and dark aviator sunglasses. She also proved she's akin to other celebrities in their 60s who look stunning without makeup and aren't afraid to show it. Some praised her for her willingness to showcase her authentic self. "Looking great and healthy," one Instagram user wrote. Regardless if she's dressed to the nines for a big Hollywood event or living a regular day, Hunt has stayed true to her word and presents herself as she sees fit, rather than what the public may expect of her.
