We're Still Thinking About These Kate Middleton Wimbledon Outfits

The Wimbledon Championships take place over two weeks every summer, and the event attracts not only tennis aficionados but also fashion obsessives who are eager to see what the who's who will be wearing. The affair is held in London, and so, of course, that includes members of Britain's royal family. Kate Middleton is a regular at Wimbledon, and as an always-chic representative of luxe European style, her outfits tend to garner as many headlines as the matches. Middleton —  or Catherine, Princess of Wales, if you're feeling fancy — doesn't deviate too far from her long-established style when she's at Wimbledon, but we do tend to see her in lighter, summer-vibe 'fits. Think classic, feminine silhouettes crafted in delicate fabrics and bright, juicy colors.

In addition, Middleton is often seen wearing a green and purple bow brooch, identifying her as the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, the organization that hosts Wimbledon. Middleton was appointed patron in 2016 by Queen Elizabeth II, who previously held the role. It's doubtful that we'll ever tire of keeping an eye on the stunning style transformation of Kate Middleton — and, each year, her Wimbledon wear is almost guaranteed to serve.

Kate Middleton oozed old English money in this cream-colored number

Kate Middleton attended day 13 of Wimbledon in 2025, dressed in a creamy off-white look courtesy of Self-Portrait, a label that's reportedly one of her favorites. She donned a short-sleeved, military-inspired jacket that was belted at the waist. And, in a lovely hard-meets-soft moment, Middleton paired her top with a delicate midi skirt crafted from a silk organza-like fabric. No big deal. It's only one of the many times women over 40 stole the show with their Wimbledon outfits.

Kate Middleton made a case for dopamine dressing with this bright-blue polka-dot dress

Few prints scream outdoor summertime event quite like polka dots, and that's exactly the route Kate Middleton took when she attended day nine of Wimbledon in 2022. The Duchess of Cambridge donned a bright-blue Alessandra Rich mid-length dress dusted all over with tiny polka dots, which was a perfect match for the classic fit-and-flare silhouette. True to form, Middleton's look felt totally timeless, and we're loving the host of whimsical details like the pleated bodice, three-quarter sleeves, and belted waist.

Kate Middleton delivered full-on '80s glam in a skirt suit

Kate Middleton's outfit for day two of Wimbledon in 2023 evoked all the energy of a glamorous '80s power suit, while still feeling fresh and modern. Speaking of fresh, we're still not over the mint-green color of Middleton's blazer, or its white lapels and buttons. She wore that with a lightweight white pleated midi skirt and tossed on a pair of matching pointy-toe pumps. Also, count this as one of the times Kate Middleton's natural hair color got a chic upgrade, as here, her tresses were punched up with noticeable auburn notes.

Kate Middleton's breezy suit will hereby be the standard for understated elegance

Kate Middleton typically reaches for dresses and skirts when it comes to official events like Wimbledon, and so she triggered plenty of oohs and ahhs with the 'fit she chose for the day four matches in 2026. Middleton wore an airy Gabriela Hearst cornflower-blue linen blazer over a simple white T-shirt and matching loose-fitting trousers. The outfit struck the perfect balance and felt relaxed but still polished. To be sure, her chill ponytail and signature nude pumps certainly helped pull the look together.

Kate Middleton evoked the 1940s with this easy white dress

Kate Middleton is no stranger to a vintage-inspired look, and if you need proof, look to the dress she wore for day two of Wimbledon in 2019. Middleton opted for a short-sleeved white midi dress graphically jazzed up with a black belt and buttons. The fabric looked to be super airy, and the simple black pumps were the perfect fit. In this outfit, she reminded us of a teenybopper from the 1940s on her way to enjoy a malt milkshake and some swing dancing, and we're so here for the retro moment.

Kate Middleton's colorblocked shift dress was right on trend

Back in 2016 — the same year Queen Elizabeth II appointed her patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club — Kate Middleton attended day 10 of Wimbledon rocking a lemon-yellow Roksanda shift dress that was so of the era. The knee-length frock's sunny color was broken up with white panels at the hem and sleeves. Honestly, how can we talk 2010s fashion without including some fun colorblocking? Middleton also styled her trademark brunette locks in soft waves for the perfect easy, complementary vibe.

Kate Middleton popped loudly in classically-cut royal purple

Kate Middleton seemed to be in her purest form for day 14 of Wimbledon in 2024. She took the field to present the men's final trophy while draped in a darling short-sleeved Safiyaa frock in a bright shade of royal purple that was right on brand. This type of dress — tea length, classic fit-and-flare silhouette, vibrant color — seems to be one of her go-tos, and this version includes some interesting bodice work as well. And, of course, we can't forget about her trademark nude pumps.

Kate Middleton was summertime cool in a limeade skirt suit

Does the outfit Kate Middleton wore for day 13 of Wimbledon in 2023 look familiar? It should, because this citrusy-green skirt suit is the same as the cream-colored version from 2025 that kicked off our list. Designed by Roland Mouret, the short-sleeved tweed jacket was nipped at the waist with a skinny belt and paired with a pleated, flowing sheer skirt that hit the royal at an always-fitting shin length. Plus, the half-up, half-down hair was a nice departure from her usual styles.
