Pamela Anderson's Beauty Transformation, In Photos

Few Hollywood celebs have mastered the art of the rebrand quite like Pamela Anderson, who's embodied a little bit of everything over her decades-long career. She has a deliciously old-school origin story as a Hollywood star. Anderson was spotted in the crowd at a football game in British Columbia, Canada — her hometown — and that led to a commercial contract with Labatt beer. She was on the cover of Playboy's October 1989 issue, and, in the '90s, she starred in megahit TV shows including "Home Improvement" and "Baywatch."

Anderson is a forever "it" girl, but, to be fair, it hasn't always felt like she was totally in control of her image, and so it's truly been a treat to watch how her look has evolved over the years as she regains power, and how she has seemed to get back to that down-home gal vibe. Basically, we can't get over the stunning style transformation of Pamela Anderson, and the same goes for her beauty evolution. Lately, Anderson has been all about barely-there makeup and retro hairstyles that evoke the charm of bygone eras. But we certainly haven't forgotten about the ultra-shiny lip gloss of the 2000s or how she basically made the messy '90s updo what it is.

Early '90s: Pamela Anderson nailed the flirty girl-next-door aesthetic

In 1992, Pamela Anderson's look was decidedly sexy, but in an understated way — like the most popular girl in high school. Notably, she was rocking her bright blond hair in shaggy layers. The left pic is from a "Baywatch" photocall in Los Angeles where Anderson's locks were piece-y and undone like they got little more than hairspray and a few finger fluffs. And her makeup was light, save for a smokey eye. On the right, in September at the Make-A-Wish Celebrity Tennis Classic in Manhattan Beach, Anderson displayed a similar toned-down vibe, choosing minimal makeup and just-there hair. Very girl-next-door vibes.

Late '90s: Pamela Anderson started to rock her now-iconic messy updo

By 1999, Pamela Anderson was regularly wearing her hair up in a messy updo, complete with tight curls and plenty of loose pieces. In September, she attended the Tyson v. Botha fight in Las Vegas wearing this iconic look. The updo was made even more whimsical by the addition of wispy micro bangs, as seen in the left shot. On the right, she was at a "VIP" cast autograph signing in December in Los Angeles, again sporting the retro hairstyle. We're definitely obsessed with her glam in both. Icy eye shadow and overlined, ultra-glossy lips are definitely among the '90s makeup trends we're hoping make comebacks.

Early 2000s: Pamela Anderson was all about smokey eyes and wild curls

Pamela Anderson walked the red carpet of the 31st annual American Music Awards in Los Angeles in 2003 (left photo), delivering full-on glamour girl energy with a big, blowout curls, side-swept bangs, and shimmery smokey eyes. In the right pic, she opted for full curls and dramatic eye makeup again when she hosted a book signing in Hollywood in September 2004 for her novel "Star." For both affairs, her bubblegum pink lip gloss popped loudly and was on full display.

Late 2000s: Pamela Anderson oozed Old Hollywood bombshell energy

In January 2006, Pamela Anderson was there for the 63rd annual Golden Globes in Beverly Hills, seen on the left. The animal rights activist took us back to Old Hollywood when she styled her blond tresses in tight ringlet curls and popped on winged eyeliner that made her peepers sparkle. We especially love her peachy cheeks and lips. In February that same year, Anderson swung by a M.A.C. Chinese New Year Party in New York City, once again exuding smoldering old-school bombshell energy — but things still felt fresh for the time courtesy of the shiny pink lip gloss.

Early 2010s: Pamela Anderson adopted a couple of mod-style pixies

Pamela Anderson shocked us when she sliced her signature lengthy locks in 2014 and debuted a darling tapered pixie. On the left, photogs captured her new spiky 'do as she walked the carpet at the third annual Help Haiti Home Gala in Beverly Hills in January. By June, Anderson's hair had grown out some but was still so '60s-cute, as seen in the right pic, from the 60th Taormina Film Fest. The combo of heavy winged eyeliner and nude lips she picked for these looks was elegant yet punchy.

Late 2010s: Pamela Anderson had taken on a lighter, beachy vibe

Photogs caught Pamela Anderson while out and about in Los Angeles in June 2018, looking ready for a summer beach wedding. In the left pic, the star wore her seemingly air-dried hair in a messy half-up, half-down style complete with a white flower accent. Anderson kept the beachy vibe going when she showed up for the amfAR Cannes Gala in May 2019. We're so here for the dewy, sun-kissed skin with its peachy tones and the complementary strawberry blond waves.

2020s: Pamela Anderson rocks retro hairstyles and minimal makeup

In the 2020s, Pamela Anderson can be seen rocking barely-there glam and classic hairstyles. The left photo is from the 83rd Golden Globes in Beverly Hills in January 2026, where she was seen with her hair twisted into a charming French roll with bangs and face-framing strands. This was one of the times Pamela Anderson went makeup-free and looked flawless. On the right, the makeup was still minimal for the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2026, save for the rose-colored eyeliner, and she wore her tresses in a '50s-reminiscent updo. Anderson has never relinquished those trademarked paper-thin '90s brows, and we're kind of obsessed with that.
