This 2011 Taylor Swift Outfit Is One Of Her Best-Dressed Moments That Everyone Forgot About

The stunning style transformation of Taylor Swift has been a sight to see over the years. The pop star has gone through many different fashion phases throughout her career that often coincide with her music — for example, her "Reputation" era saw her embrace a darker fashion. Still, Swift has been in the spotlight for so long at this point that we often forget about some of her most underrated yet iconic looks. Honestly, we would normally think that the contrast of such different colors here would not work, but somehow, it really does. The blush (almost nude)-colored underlay provides the perfect canvas for the sheer blue tulle fabric to sit on. While the bottom is flowy and simple, it's the bodice that really captures your attention. The intricate sequin pattern adds just the right amount of tasteful sparkle. We're still in love with it years later, and that alone proves this outfit is one of Swift's best-dressed moments of all time.

More recently, Taylor Swift has had plenty of best-dressed moments in the lead-up to her wedding, but another archival look that deserves our full attention is the opulent sequined gown she wore on the red carpet to the 2008 CMA Awards. This wasn't an unusual look for Swift at the time — she loved to dazzle in sequins, and honestly, she still does. This gorgeous floor-length dress was designed by Kaufman Franco, and its wide-set neckline was so unique and flattering that decades later we still discuss it. Plus, we love how the dress practically shimmers in the right light. 

While Swift hasn't commented much herself on what goes into choosing her red carpet stunners, we do know that her longtime stylist is Joseph Cassell Falconer. While we don't know if Falconer choose this look for Swift — he started working with her around this time, but nothing confirms Falconer was already her stylist when she wore the dress –, he posts often on his Instagram account about what working with Swift is like, and spoiler alert: The stylist has nothing but high praise for the global pop phenomenon. Together, they've created some of Swift's most iconic looks to date and best of all, they show no signs of stopping any time soon.
