The Biggest Celebrity Fashion Fumbles At Lollapalooza 2026

Held from July 30 to August 2, 2026, Lollapalooza pleased everyone's musical tastes, with its pop princesses, EDM emperors, and more lighting up the stage in big ways. That said, some artists left us disappointed with their fashion choices at the Chicago-based music festival.

Stars like Zara Larsson and Tate McRae gave us already-seen and predictable fashion, while others, like Julia Wolf and Ethel Cain, showed up on stage in outfits that looked like they were meant for rehearsals rather than the big show. Naturally, each artist compensated with their incredible vocals and impeccable dance moves, but at the end of the day, some of these looks would have been way better with minor changes and improvements, while others simply needed to be replaced entirely.

When Suki Waterhouse set foot on the Lollapalooza stage on July 31, her top instantly had our entire attention. The fuzzy pink garment was perfect festival attire, and combined with the ultra-long sheer robe, it certainly belonged on stage. However, from the waist down, things took a turn. The "Good Looking" singer paired the whimsical pink pieces with black-and-blue belted undergarments, which clashed with the rest of her look. The outfit had so much potential, but the bottoms made this yet another Suki Waterhouse outfit that totally missed the mark.

Slayyyter is known for her fun approach to fashion, but not every style risk pays off. Sadly, her Lollapalooza outfit on July 31 is proof of this. The "Crank" singer had plenty of fun with her 'fit, rocking a pair of army-green high-waisted hotpants with plastic fish lined all over. While the bottoms were fun and unexpected, the top simply didn't satisfy us. Slayyyter paired a cropped plaid button-up with a beige corset she wore underneath, which created an odd look and distracted from her fun, funky bottoms.

On July 30, Audrey Hobert performed on the Lollapalooza stage in not one trenchcoat but two. Yes, the "Sue Me" singer opted for an autumn aesthetic in the middle of summer, creating a look that felt oh-so out of place. And while we appreciate the red hair tie and matching lipstick, the look left plenty to be desired. The only times a coat makes sense on stage is when an artist reveals a fun look underneath at some point, which wasn't the case in Hobert's performance. 

It truly pains us to include pop star Zara Larsson on this list, as she's known for her colorful and boundary-pushing fashion. But when the "Midnight Sun" singer entered the Lollapalooza stage on July 31, her outfit fell flat. Of course, we mean flat compared to Larsson's other 'fits, as her looks at the Roskilde Festival and Lollapalooza Berlin just weeks before seemed much more thought-through. Nevertheless, while the singer's outfit could've given us more, her makeup was stunning, reminding us that Larsson was also among the best celeb beauty moments from Coachella 2026.

Known for her Midwest goth aesthetic, Ethel Cain is yet another star whose fashion disappointed at Lollapalooza this year. The "Crush" singer performed on August 1, and while the stage's design looked eerie and magical, Cain's outfit made it seem as if she were simply dressed for a rehearsal instead of the main show. The singer paired black jeans with a black sweater for a very low-effort look that clashed against the stage's aesthetic.

While not mixing prints is definitely a fashion rule that was made to be broken, combining two patterns can quickly backfire if not done well. Skye Newman performed on stage at Lollapalooza on July 31, and while we adore her intricate beaded top, we wish her black-and-yellow striped hotpants didn't distract from it. In this case, less would've been more, and pairing the top with a tamer bottom would've been a better choice. That said, the "Hairdresser" singer's hair looked absolutely perfect, showcasing that beachy waves are the supreme summer hairstyle.

"Maybe" singer Sienna Spiro performed on the Lollapalooza stage on August 1, and her neon-green silk dress simply wasn't the best choice. While we loved the cut of the garment and its fun long fringe along the hemline, the bright color washed Spiro out. Had the piece been in a different shade — perhaps royal blue — this look would have easily been among the best ones from this year's festival.

Julia Wolf typically leans more toward comfortable and casual fashion, but her Lollapalooza look this year was just too plain and boring. Performing on stage on July 31, Wolf is another performer who looked like she had dressed for rehearsal. The "Falling in Love" singer paired a gray baggy tee and black leather pants for an off-duty rockstar look — except, well, she was technically on duty. More accessories or even an edgier top would have helped elevate this look.

Tate McRae's Lollapalooza performance on August 2 lacked no fire, but her outfit certainly did. The "Sports Car" singer wore a pair of low-waisted white pants with a corset bustier top for a look we've seen her rock numerous times before. Granted, the singer usually pairs the top with low-waisted hotpants, making this a mild departure from her go-to. Nevertheless, the look was predictable and therefore a tad boring, making us wish McRae had worn something new.
