What The Leading Ladies Of Electra Woman And Dyna Girl Looked Like Decades After The Show Ended

If you watched Saturday morning TV in the 1970s, you might remember "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl." Electra Woman, played by Deidre Hall, was a stunning blond with high cheekbones and hair teased up into large curls. She was always accompanied by her loyal sidekick, Dyna Girl (Judy Strangis), a cute brunette with pigtails and thick blunt bangs framing her face. Together, they fought crime using advanced gadgets, operated from a secret base, and relied on the guidance of their elderly scientist mentor, Frank Heflin (Norman Alden). If this sounds a little too similar to a certain Gotham-based superhero's story, it's because it is. "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl" was a lot like "Batman," but with female leads who showed young kids that superheroes aren't just for boys.

In real life, the leading ladies of "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl" weren't too dissimilar from their characters. Hall typically styled her locks in classic layered '70s cuts, and Strangis' thick bangs were a recurring feature of her look. Now, more than four decades since the show ended, their signature looks have changed over the years. However, their appeal certainly hasn't. Deidre Hall and Judy Strangis are as riveting as ever.

In the 2020s, Deidre Hall is one of the soap opera stars who proves that gray hair doesn't have to be boring. She still has the same hair length she had as Electra Woman, but her new do is a softer cut with less volume than her superhero days. In July 2026, she spoke to SheKnows about how she landed the part and discussed her hair and makeup on the show. "I got a call saying, did I want to play a superhero? I went, 'Eh, I got nothing else to do.' And I did not realize in that moment that it would be a brutal summer." 

She went on to explain that the sweltering heat combined with the show's incredibly tiny budget meant they did their own hair and makeup and had to endure the heat while at it. "It has no right to be a hit, you know. I mean, it didn't deserve one single bit of it," she joked. "It was just a goof."

After "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl," Deidre Hall began working on "Days of Our Lives" as Dr. Marlena Evans and became one of the best-dressed soap stars at the '90s and early 2000s Daytime Emmy Awards. More than 50 years later, she still plays that role. She had a public appearance at the Los Angeles Mission + Hope the Mission Thanksgiving Meal Service in November 2025. Wearing a gingham button-up shirt and a crossbody bag, she looked phenomenal with her gray locks in a lob.

One of the most memorable parts of Judy Strangis' appearance in "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl" was her brunette locks, which she wore in pigtails. The 'do made her look much younger than Electra Woman, like a sidekick would be, even though she was only two years younger. Now, nearly five decades after the show aired, Strangis looks amazing. She's expectedly ditched the pigtails but still has all of the vividness her brunette hair used to have. 

In June 2026, the actor shared a picture of herself aboard a private plane on Instagram. She had her hair in wispy bangs, which are one of the best hairstyles for older womem with thin hair, and looked genuinely happy. Two years earlier, in 2024, Stragis told Remind Magazine how gruelling shooting "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl" was. "I think we did a show a day. Imagine getting the script the night before and doing a show and a half the next day! Did we think about what we were doing? No, we just did it." 

After "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl," Strangis continued to act until her final movie in 1994, where she voiced Tammy Vance in "Batman: The Animated Series." According to unconfirmed reports, she stopped acting specifically because she was being stalked. While we don't know if these reports are true, we do know that Judy Strangis still met up with Deidre Hall as recently as September 7, 2025, to sign autographs for fans of "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl." Both women had smiles on their faces, a glow in their eyes, and looked positively radiant.
