Country Music Icon Connie Smith Is Aging Like Fine Wine

Legendary country singer Connie Smith has had a decades-spanning career that rivals the likes of stars like Dolly Parton. Smith is known for her rich, sophisticated voice and, over the years, has produced hits like "Once a Day" and "Then and Only Then." While the country singer has slowed down quite a bit since her 1964 debut, she released her 55th album, titled "Love, Prison, Wisdom and Heartaches," in 2024, and these days, she's looking better than ever. You might even say she's aging like fine wine — time has been more than kind to her and it's a sight to see.

The above snap of Smith was taken in 2025 at the Country Music Hall of Fame medallion ceremony and, as you can see, the star is positively glowing. She kept her makeup minimal for the event, which gave her a radiant glow that we're absolutely obsessed with. While Smith was known early on in her career for having long hair, this much shorter, layered cut looks great on her as well. It's one of those hairstyles that is perfect for older women with fine hair.

Connie Smith's style is still influenced by her country roots

While Connie Smith's hair has definitely evolved over the years, the singer hasn't lost her country edge style-wise. Smith has always loved a good western-style print or fringed blouse, and she'd probably agree that the country-western aesthetic is a fashion gift that keeps on giving. A look at her Instagram reveals that this is still the case.

This adorable shot of the country superstar was taken in July 2026 and shows that her fashion tastes have largely stayed the same over the years. She'll still rock a cowboy hat and rhinestone button-down in vibrant contrasting pink and black. Another sweet Instagram pic of Smith and her longtime partner Marty Stuart showed her wearing a pink button-up with a print that featured butterflies and horses — a fun take on the classic western style. Overall, you can tell that Smith likes to have fun when it comes to her wardrobe, much like Dolly Parton (who's had an iconic style evolution over the years).
