Parker Posey Nails The '70s Hair Revival At The Venice Film Festival & We're Obsessed

Parker Posey has proven to be a style icon yet again. The "White Lotus" star appeared at the Venice Film Festival on September 3 in a glamorous retro 'do that gave us the biggest '70s feels. While posing at the "Wild Horse Nine" photocall, she showed off her bouncy curls with feathery layers swept away from her face. The messy middle part featured long, eye-grazing bangs, with the ends falling just above her shoulders. It was reminiscent of Farrah Fawcett's iconic blowout, but with a shorter length that made Posey's style more current. This is one way to make a '70s hairstyle work in 2026.

Later at the screening of "Wild Horse Nine," Posey slightly switched up her '70s curls by letting her bangs loose over her forehead. There was still plenty of volume on top, but it was more exaggerated on the sides. The back tapered off at the bottom, and the whole effect looked like a modernized shag. It seems Posey is in her vintage phase at the moment, as she has embraced everything from days of yore, and is really leaning into the retro aesthetic. We've seen what Parker Posey looks like makeup-free, but we love when she goes all out with her glam. 

Parker Posey went for another throwback style at the 2026 Actor Awards, but with a '60s housewife vibe this time. Her brunette hair had tons of volume, which was exaggerated with a deep side part and lots of large curls. The actor's hairstylist Jason Rail explained to The Tease, "The hair was 'done but not over.' Parker likes to touch her hair, so the style usually has to be pliable. It's an update on the classic 'set' hairstyles." To get the look, he used a 1-inch curling iron and texturizing spray, followed by backcombing. After shaking out the curls, Rail used a brush to smooth out the hair, manipulated the curls with his fingers, and then blasted them with hairspray.

Posey is quite the chameleon, and she can pull off any vintage look while making it her own. From channeling a '70s mob wife to a '60s housewife, the "Dazed and Confused" star is rocking old-school looks in the trendiest way. She told Vogue, "A lot of the designs I am drawn to have a '70s early feminism nod. I've started rolling my hair again ... I'm wearing more dresses ... and color! I'm happy to see there is color in fashion."
