A-List Hair Genetics: Blake Lively's Daughter Is Inheriting The Star's Stunning Long Locks
If there's one thing that Blake Lively is known for outside of acting, it's her long, luxurious hair. Sure, Blake Lively has had a few hair fails that were more sloppy than sleek, but her voluminous golden waves have been celebrated since her "Gossip Girl" hairstyle was compared to "The Rachel." In 2024, Lively even launched her own line of haircare products, Blake Brown, telling InStyle, "My hair is just the constant thing; I know if my hair is down, I feel good. I feel like me." All four of the children Lively shares with husband Ryan Reynolds (daughters James, Inez, and Betty, and son Olin) are poised to inherit their parents' great hair, but one in particular has been seen sporting her mother's signature long, blond locks.
From the looks of a 2026 Instagram photo that Reynolds posted of one of their daughters hugging Lively, it's obvious that the "Savages" star passed on her A-list hair genetics. While it's unclear if it's James, Inez, or Betty, because their back is to the camera, whoever is pictured with Lively has definitely inherited her flowing, golden-blond waves. Great hair may just run in her family, since her sister, Robin Lively (who plays the waitress on "Landman") is stunning in real life and rocks her own signature wavy tresses.
Just like her mother, Blake Lively's daughter's hair has a similar effortless look and in the photo above, it's seen cascading freely down her back in no strict style. For Lively, who's shared quick hair tutorials on social media for people busy raising kids, it's more important to enjoy her time with her kids, relishing the little moments rather than focusing on doing their hair (or her own) perfectly. Lively seems to be more interested in encouraging a healthy attitude towards beauty standards.

Blake Lively might be the quintessential glamorous movie star when she hits the red carpet, but she's teaching her daughters that it's not the norm. "What you're seeing on red carpets and in magazines takes a lot of effort and a lot of people," she told Refinery29 in 2017. Lively doesn't want her daughters to feel the need to look how she looks when she gets glammed up for an event. "It's important for my daughters to know that it's not real life. They're seeing me dressed up in all this hair and makeup, but they also see me without that," she added.
While we have seen Blake Lively go makeup-free and look flawless, she's made it clear that her look, and yes, even her famous hair, is boosted by professionals."It's not that people in the entertainment industry are gifted with better hair. We're using a different hair system than the process promoted to the mass market," she told Vogue in 2024. Even Lively's famous "Gossip Girl" tresses were curated by a team of professionals. "It was also aspirational, because people don't... do their hair every day. I surely don't do my hair every day," Lively explained to Elle in 2025. It seems that Lively has been open about her behind-the-scenes hair assistance because she doesn't want her daughters (or anyone, really) to strive for unrealistic beauty standards — especially when it comes to hair.
