A-List Hair Genetics: Gigi Hadid's Daughter Is Inheriting The Model's Stunning Long Locks
It goes without saying that supermodel Gigi Hadid has ridiculously good genes. The blond bombshell is known for her gorgeous eyes, lips, and towering height. Gigi Hadid can go out makeup-free and still look flawless, but one of her other most notable features is her long, luscious locks.
The model shares a daughter named Khai with her former partner Zayn Malik, and in a rare Instagram photo from September 2026, you can see just how much Khai has grown up. Though Malik and Hadid split up in 2021, they're one of many celebs who have co-parenting down to a science, and the former couple seem to be in agreement about maintaining their daughter's privacy. They don't post her face on social media, but from what we can see, it's obvious that Khai has inherited her mother's stunning hair.
Malik shared a sweet photo of Khai to celebrate her sixth birthday, and we immediately clocked how similar it looks to a few braid styles we've seen her mother wear over the years. Hadid's hair has always looked effortlessly beautiful and polished, and her daughter is following in her footsteps with her gorgeous strands.

Gigi Hadid herself is known for her long, luscious locks, and her daughter Khai is another mane queen in the making. In June 2025, Hadid posted a sweet shot of the two where Khai, once again, rocked a long single braid down her back. The model also shared in January 2026 another pic of the two together and Khai sported a half-up half-down hairstyle that showed off her ever-growing tresses which were down to her waist.
We also love that the two sometimes match their hairstyles. Hadid shared another pic of them in May 2026 (from her birthday, no less!) that showed the two each wearing similar buns. While Hadid went with a single messy topknot in this case, Khai wore adorable space buns with flower hair clips. It's hard to believe that Khai is now six years old and already twinning with her mom.

Although Gigi Hadid might be a supermodel, the star actually keeps it surprisingly simple when it comes to beauty. And in that vein, she has plenty of great advice she learned from her own mother that she wants to pass down to her daughter Khai. She shared in a 2021 Harper's Bazaar interview, "She had a very simple, natural take on skincare," Hadid said of her mom's skin routine. "She didn't overdo it with product, and I feel like I've taken that on, where I think less is more. Doing too much for my skin or beauty routine can make it more complicated, and sometimes my skin can't handle it. I think I'll teach Khai to keep it simple when it comes to makeup, like my mom taught me."
It's refreshing to see that Hadid, who has made an entire career out of beauty, doesn't want her daughter to feel pressured into a complicated routine. Not only that, the two also share those smaller daily beauty moments together, like Hadid did with her own mom. She told W Magazine that she and Khai get ready together. "She watches me do my thing," the model said. "She'll brush her teeth with me, and now she's wanting to put moisturizer on, which is so cute."
