Remember Jasmine Guy? The A Different World Star Is Still A Stunner Today

"A Different World" was one of those iconic sitcoms that was ahead of its time. Taking place in a college setting, it tackled issues that were hardly ever talked about on mainstream TV including racism, political activism, interracial relationships, and more. One of our favorite stars of the show was undoubtedly Jasmine Guy who, if you haven't seen lately, is still a complete stunner even years after the show concluded in 1993. Fans of the original "A Different World" will also be happy to know that it got a reboot on Netflix in which Guy stars again as Whitley Gilbert. Needless to say, she's looking as gorgeous as ever.

This shot of the actor was taken in September 2026 during an appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" where she showed off her stunning smile. Back in the '80s and '90s, Guy rocked a deep brunette shade and longer hair, but at 64 she rocks a much shorter haircut that's a game-changer for women over 60. Guy also radiates a quiet confidence that we love, and (much like Sandra Bullock, who is stunning in her 60s and taking a refreshing approach to beauty) she embraces aging in a beautiful way.

Jasmine Guy isn't trying to appear younger. In fact, she had a thing or two to say to anyone who criticizes women for their appearance later in life. The star took to Instagram in September 2026 to share her philosophy, captioning her post, "Growing older brings change, and I won't pretend every change is easy. But beauty, style, and joy don't have an expiration date. Let's spend less time judging ourselves and each other, and more time loving each other, making memories, and living the life we're here to live."

Aside from her inspiring beauty philosophy, the actor is also a true fashionista, wearing everything from 1920s-style jewelry to gorgeous sequin skirts and stylish trench coats on the red carpet, which perfectly match this beautiful new chapter for her. Guy's looks are among the celeb outfits that prove older women can have so much fun with fashion.

Surprisingly, Guy admitted that she was nervous to reprise her role as Whitley Gilbert, but mostly because it took a while for the reboot to get off the ground. "We didn't believe it," she told People. "I didn't get excited until I signed my contract ... because we had a couple of false [starts]." Despite those false starts, we love to see Guy living her best life and looking so fabulous during this new era for the show.
