Stunning Celebs Who Found Love & Got Married After Turning 60
It's a common myth that once a person turns 60, they've officially entered their golden years. With age comes wisdom, confidence, and, it seems, new perspectives on love. From age-gap relationships to love at first sight, these women are living proof that it's never too late to find happiness. Whether they've never been married or have been married several times, their relationship timelines are more than just love stories; they're powerful narratives that challenge conventional expectations for women.
In recent years, younger generations have been prioritizing their education and careers over getting married. As a result, the world has seen a new generation of older brides, ones who are walking down the aisle much later in life, if at all. But what if this new trend wasn't limited to the younger generations at all? Celebrities have been finding love and tying the knot in their 60s and beyond for decades. These women have been showing younger generations that age doesn't define beauty, and they prove that romance has no age limit. While their reasons for marrying later in life may be remarkably different from those of the younger generations, their stories show that love, companionship, and new chapters can happen at any stage of life.
Kristin Scott Thomas married secretly at 64
After five years together, "Four Weddings and a Funeral" actor Kristin Scott Thomas married John Micklethwait, Bloomberg's editor-in-chief. Thomas was 64 at the time. The pair made headlines when they announced that they had privately married with only their families present. In a 2024 episode of the "Ruthie's Table 4" podcast, host Ruth Rogers revealed the big news. "Kristin is basking in love and the joy of just a few weeks ago marrying the editor and my friend John Micklethwait," Rogers said.
Despite the media attention surrounding their secret union, a friend of the couple told The Independent that everyone was extremely pleased. "They are a perfect match. Both smart, wry and curious as well as devoted to each other. Everyone is delighted that they have got married after a wonderful five-year romance," the friend said.
Not only has Thomas' marriage later in life helped prove that romance is not limited by age, but her relationship also challenges the common saying "never mix business with pleasure." Having co-written the film "My Mother's Wedding," which was released just a year after they wed, Thomas and Micklethwait successfully blended their personal and professional lives.
Kim Cattrall got married at 69
"Sex and the City" star Kim Cattrall is another celebrity who got married later in life. In 2016, Cattrall met Russell Thomas while he was working as an audio engineer for the BBC. "We kind of liked each other, we kept in touch and then he came out to Vancouver," Cattrall revealed to People in 2020. "It was very brave of him because we didn't really know each other other than having a few meals together. But he came and we got along great, and we've been together ever since!" The actor added that their shared British roots make her relationship with Thomas her easiest. "I'm very comfortable around him. He's a firecracker and he's got a wicked sense of humor. And he's easy on the eyes," she explained.
In a December 2025 post on Instagram, Cattrall, who was 69 at the time, announced that the pair had finally gotten married. Cattrall later included a montage of their private wedding reception in an Instagram post where she thanked staff for making her special day so memorable. For her nuptials, the actor wore a cream bridal skirt suit — a look that has become extremely fashionable among contemporary brides. Cattrall accessorized with a net fascinator that served as a focal point and added a vintage touch to her look. Despite being married four times before, Cattrall wouldn't change a thing about her relationship journey. "I love him," she told People. "And he was worth waiting for."
Vanna White got married when she was 68
In January 2026, "Wheel of Fortune" co-host Vanna White announced that she had married her longtime partner John Donaldson. White, who was 68 years old at the time, revealed that the pair got married in a private ceremony with a post on Instagram. "John and I have been in love for more than a decade, and a little while back, we wanted to make it official in a private ceremony. We're excited to share this new, joyful chapter in our lives with all of you!" she wrote.
As a celebrity in her 60s who looks stunning without makeup, White took a less-is-more approach to her appearance on her big day. She wore a natural makeup look, consisting of barely-there bronzer and subtle lip gloss. It's safe to say her shimmering white wedding dress certainly added an element of glamour to her more natural look. Her gown featured a halter-neck silhouette that clung to her frame and extended out into a fishtail hem. She completed her wedding look with silver stilettos and a dainty pearl necklace.
Although they met back in 2012, it took White and Donaldson over a decade to tie the knot. In 2025, White told E! News that the pair wanted to make their own decisions about marriage, despite feeling the pressure. "When you've been with someone for so long, you kind of feel like you're already married. You don't have to have that piece of paper," White explained.
Joan Collins married her fifth husband when she was 68
Joan Collins, best known for portraying the glamorous Alexis Carrington Colby in the 1980s television drama "Dynasty," married producer Percy Gibson when she was in her late 60s. The pair wed in 2002 — when Collins was 68 and Gibson was 36 — just two years after they first laid eyes on each other in San Francisco. Gibson was managing a show, and Collins, of course, was the star.
Collins walked down the aisle wearing a custom lilac gown that featured four-ply silk crepe and chiffon sleeves. Designed by "Dynasty" dressmaker Nolan Miller, the gown was also made using silver lace. Her appearance may not have been traditional, but after being married five times before, it was about time Collins had some fun with her wedding attire. Her shoes were designed by Manolo Blahnik and she wore a floral hairpiece by Philip Treacy.
Later that year, the newlyweds were clearly still in their honeymoon era when they attended an InStyle gala in New York, pictured above, wearing wedding-style ensembles. In an interview with Fox News, Collins revealed that one reason she and Gibson are so happy together is because of friendship. "First of all, we were great pals before we got married," Collins explained. "We worked together on a play ... We enjoyed each other's company. We hung out together," she added.
