Laramie From Yellowstone Is Gorgeous In Real Life

When an actor is talented enough, it becomes difficult to imagine them as anything other than the characters they bring to life. That's especially true in a show like "Yellowstone," where viewers are whisked away to remote Montana to root for characters like Laramie. At the show's Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, Laramie is a barrel-racing ranch hand. Best friends with Mia and in a relationship with Walker, Laramie has a distinct look that perfectly matches the show's theme; cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, Western-inspired shirts, and belts with statement buckles all go into this character's image. For hardcore fans of the show, it's hard to separate that styling from the actor behind the character: Hassie Harrison.

Previously appearing on shows like "Tacoma FD" and "Hart of Dixie," Harrison rose to mainstream success through her work on "Yellowstone," and as far as the Texas-born star was concerned, taking the role of Laramie was a natural choice. Aside from her acting ability — and the show's detailed costuming — Harrison comes across as an authentic rancher because she is one in real life. "I grew up in Texas around this cowboy culture, so I knew I had an easy way into this character," she told Cowgirl Magazine in 2024. "Being part of a modern-day western like this has been a dream come true."

Having grown up on a ranch that had been in her family for generations, Harrison was raised around horses and naturally went on to own her own ranch in Southern California. So, in terms of lifestyle, there isn't too much difference between Harrison and Laramie, but when it comes to fashion and beauty, the actor can slip out of her cowboy boots and into her red-carpet dresses without thinking twice. She's not one of the "Yellowstone" universe's leading ladies we've spotted without makeup, but she is a certified stunner on and off the set.

Yellowstone actor Hassie Harrison knows how to slay a red carpet

Behind the scenes, Hassie Harrison's go-to style isn't too far removed from Laramie's. She seems to gravitate toward cowboy hats, Western boots, denim shorts, and button-ups, along with sprinkles of more feminine Westwern wear that fits into the so-called "country couture" trend, like prairie dresses and textured blouses. Country-chic is her go-to vibe, but when it comes to red carpets, she tends to leave the aesthetic behind in favor of pure Hollywood glamor. At the premiere of "Yellowstone" Season 5: Part 2 in 2024, she turned heads with a strapless metallic gown with a sweetheart neckline that served as a nod to Old Hollywood. She went with classic structured curls and a flipped-over side part, again channeling the glitz and glam of vintage show business.

This sleek hairstyle was a departure from the look that Harrison usually wears: impeccably styled face-framing bottleneck bangs that graze her eyes. Even for red carpets, she typically styles her hair around her fringe, as she did at the "Dangerous Animals" premiere in May 2025. Opting for a casual bun with loose bangs and face-framing layers, Harrison again went for a body-hugging gown, this time in a blush shade with a plunging neckline.

The actor maintained her bangs once more for the Cannes Film Festival that June, sharing her look on Instagram. This time dressed in black with a thigh slit, Harrison slayed in a corset dress worlds away from her character's plaid shirts and faded jeans. Fans praised the sophisticated look in the comments, echoing their surprise at finally seeing her not "surrounded by cowboys." But we weren't shocked that she owned the red carpet at the festival; her collection of glam looks now prove that it was hardly her first rodeo. Harrison isn't the only actor from the show whose real-life look is miles from Montana, however. Monica from "Yellowstone" is also gorgeous in real life!
