Fox News Panelist Kat Timpf Is Almost Unrecognizable Without Her Glasses

A comedian, author, and panelist on Fox News, Kat Timpf has several claims to fame. But no matter where you know her from, those who recognize Timpf may have trouble placing her without her signature glasses. Just as we couldn't imagine the late Karl Lagerfeld without his go-to fingerless gloves or Anna Wintour without her ever-present bob, Kat Timpf's thick-rimmed glasses have become an integral part of her look, both on and off the camera. However, the panelist does occasionally appear in a photo or video glasses-free — you just have to do a double take!  

In October 2025, Timpf recorded a video selfie while she was having her hair styled, and for the first time in a long time, there were no glasses in sight. As is normally the case with people who suddenly take their glasses off, Timpf looked like a different person in the video. Before she took her glasses off, fans might not have noticed that the columnist has big, pale-green eyes, which she complements with silver highlighting and earthy shadow around the eyelids for the perfect daytime smokey eye. Since Timpf has such a stunning face, it begs the question of why she doesn't turn to contact lenses (a simple way to get more glamorous eyes) or take more photos without her glasses, but luckily for curious fans, she has also covered that very topic on Instagram. 

In a January 2025 Instagram reel, Kat Timpf used her comedy skills to indirectly address one of the reasons why she always wears glasses (other than the fact that they presumably improve her vision). "First of all, I don't want you to think that I'm wearing sunglasses inside 'cause I think it's cool," she says at the start of the video, referencing the pair of dark oversized sunglasses she styled her look with. "I'm wearing sunglasses because I'm not wearing eye makeup and I don't want to put any on. I also don't want you to see how ugly I look under here, so sunglasses, pro tip." While we don't buy for a second that she's "ugly" without makeup, we do empathize with the joy of wearing any kind of glasses when you don't feel like being seen by the world. So it's possible that aside from the fact that she likes the preppy aesthetic they create, Timpf just feels more comfortable in her glasses, which is totally valid. 

Back in January 2023, she posted another rare selfie of her without any glasses, this time in tribute to her nine-year anniversary of living in New York City. Her bright-green peepers were on full display, highlighted by rosy shadow, earthy liner, and false lashes. "Why do you wear glasses? You look better without," one user commented. "I like the way you look sans glasses," another added.
