The Stunning Transformation Of Kate Beckinsale's Daughter Lily Mo Sheen

As the daughter of Hollywood stars Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen, Lily Mo Sheen was destined for the spotlight. To no one's surprise, Lily followed in their footsteps, with her debut being in the dark fantasy film "Underworld: Evolution," which her mother starred in, at just 6 years old. In fact, in 2022, Lily revealed that her parents have always allowed her to chase her dreams. "What's been so great about my parents is that they've really let me fly and let me figure myself out," she told Page Six, adding, "but something that they've always made very paramount to me is just professionalism and respect and try to be the best version of yourself wherever you are and whatever workplace you're in, which I really appreciate." 

Lily's career has slowly evolved over the years, and so has her style. Of course, Lily could easily be one of those celebrity kids who inherited their parents' famous style, as Kate has always been known for her chic and sophisticated fashion. Now in the second half of her 20s, Lily seems to be eager to explore everything that life has to offer, from glamorous Hollywood events to documenting her travels with her boyfriend on social media. And as we wait to see where the next few years take her, we're taking a look back to examine just how much Lily has already changed.

Lily Mo Sheen grew up in a classic Hollywood manner — with two parents who were starring films all the time. Still, Michael Sheen told The Guardian in 2010 that his daughter was his priority. "My job takes me away from my daughter, Lily, 11, a lot, so when I am with her the time is really important," he explained. "When I'm filming, I try to speak to Lily every day and let her know that I'm thinking of her and hopefully stay a presence in her life."

In 2003, Lily's parents separated. While the end of their relationship wasn't easy, Michael clarified that their daughter's well-being was incredibly important to them. "I think you just do whatever you need to do for your children, don't you? We've just been very lucky that we've all got on very well, and that's great for Lily," he added to The Guardian. 

In the early- to mid-2010s, Lily often attended industry events alongside her mother, and it was during this time that we got to see glimpses of her emerging style. Bedazzled tops and fun minidresses were staples in Lily's closet, but what we instantly noticed was that even though her style was young and quirky, it also exuded some of that sophistication and boldness that Kate is known for.

In the second half of the 2010s, the public got to know more of Lily Mo Sheen, as she began being active on social media. Oh, and her mom kept everyone updated, too. "18 and now you're in the big girl shoes for real... Nothing has been better in my life than being your mama," Kate Beckinsale captioned a now-deleted Instagram post for Lily's birthday in 2017 (via Refinery29). 

That same year, Michael Sheen opened up about his daughter continuing her education at New York University. "She's starting a new chapter of her life," the actor told Hello! Magazine. "And I'm sure, for anyone who's had their child go off to college — they've left home for the first time — it's exciting to see them going off on that adventure and having their own independent life, but at the same time you don't want to let go and you don't want to see them go completely, so there are two sides to it."

With Lily all grown up, her style changed ever so slightly. Monochromatic black fashion and simple outfits became her go-to looks, and whenever she was photographed alongside her mother by paparazzi, the duo looked effortlessly stylish and cool. In fact, we can't help but wonder whether Lily is also one of the celebrity kids who borrowed vintage outfits from their famous parents every now and then. With the "Click" actor's stunning wardrobe, it would be difficult not to grab an occasional outfit.

By the early 2020s, we knew that Lily Mo Sheen was dating actor David Schechter. In the summer of 2021, Lily and David were photographed at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport as they welcomed her mother. At the time. Lily and Kate Beckinsale hadn't seen each other for quite some time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "I haven't seen my daughter for two years because of everything. Also, I went to Canada working and she couldn't come see me," Beckinsale shared during a 2021 appearance on "LIVE with Kelly and Ryan" (via People). "Two years of not seeing your child is the most preposterous thought. Thank goodness for FaceTime and all that, but we're both panicking that we'll look really old to each other," she added.

In 2022, Lily starred in her first big project, the buddy-comedy film "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent," and revealed that her parents have been very "supportive" of her career path. "They've been fantastic, they're so supportive. They were really excited," she explained to Los Angeles Magazine, adding that Kate "was in the premiere with her phone up filming everything and when my name came up at the end, she was screaming." Naturally, she said, "It felt really good for her to support me and for the role reversal to happen." With the film, Lily suddenly found herself on more red carpets, which allowed her to showcase her aesthetic. Just like her mother, Lily explored a variety of different red carpet styles, switching between classic and simple pantsuits and delicate and flowy gowns. 

After "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent," Lily Mo Sheen seemed to become a lot more comfortable in her fashion choices, and she began experimenting a tad more with her look. A leather jacket for a red carpet event or a white vintage gown for a night out kept her look fun and unexpected, as Lily suddenly found herself in the spotlight more than ever.

Many have said over the years that Lily looks just like Kate Beckinsale, and in 2023, the latter admitted that she agrees. "I do see it. Yeah, I do. Sometimes I'll send her a text saying, 'Get your own face!'" she admitted (via the Daily Mail). "She's like a better version. She's got something that I don't," the Hollywood star said. "She looks like this gorgeous Disney animal — she's got these giant eyes... I think probably dad [Michael Sheen] helped with that a bit — but she's very much herself." Of course, it's also no secret that Kate Beckinsale's face transformation has made her nearly unrecognizable in recent years, so there's no real telling if they'll always look so alike.

In 2025, we got to see even more of Lily Mo Sheen. The "Everybody's Fine" actor attended the New York City premiere of the sci-fi film "Bugonia" in October, and when she walked the red carpet, her unusual bubble minidress stole the show. While a piece like that can easily look off-putting, Lily pulled it off. Just two months earlier, Lily had posed on the red carpet for a screening of the mystery-comedy film "Honey Don't" in a white lace dress, giving us a completely different aesthetic. Being a fashion chameleon isn't easy, but it certainly seems as if Lily has learned a lot from her famous mother.

In early 2026, Lily shared a carousel of images on Instagram, showcasing her New Year's trip to Mexico with her boyfriend. There, she kept her outfits classic and streamlined, whether it was an LBD or a cute bikini. And as Lily is strutting through the second half of her 20s now, we have no doubt that we will see plenty more of her, whether on the screen or on social media.
