Cheryl Hines Really Curbed Our Enthusiasm For Her Style With These Awful Outfits

Regardless of your thoughts on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" actor Cheryl Hines, you have to commend her on her loyalty to her controversial husband, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as she defends him on talk shows and podcasts, and stands by his side through repeated attacks on his, as well as her, character. It can't be easy. What we can't commend her on lately, however, is her style. Over the past couple of years, her fashion sense has tanked, and below are the outfits that prove it.

It hasn't always been bad for the "Suburgatory" star. Cheryl Hines has worn some fun outfits that showed off her legs, and she's had some elegant red-carpet moments. But are those days, like her career in Hollywood, behind her? Perhaps serving as a mirror of Hines' life as a political wife, her fashion choices feel a bit lost. At one moment, she's channeling the women of the MAGA world in expensive designer looks, then she's flaunting her figure — overly at times — in revealing gowns, and then she's wearing homely '50s garb for movie premieres. Will the real Cheryl Hines please stand up?

Cheryl Hines spilled out of her tube dress

If you thought Cheryl Hines' inappropriate outfit at a 2022 Emmys after party was bad, then you might want to scroll past the black strapless number she wore for a Groundlings comedy group anniversary party in LA in 2024. Are we against women showing cleavage? Absolutely not. But there's a tasteful way to flaunt your assets that doesn't involve looking painfully pinched-in with the boobage trying to escape at every exit point possible.

Cheryl Hines was trying too hard at a Red Cross event

In December 2025, Cheryl Hines appeared with Melania Trump and Usha Vance at Joint Base Andrews to pack care packages for overseas troops. A great cause, yes, but it all felt a bit contrived, at least in terms of Hines' style. She wore an all-white outfit that didn't exactly scream, "I'm here to work," but more, "I belong in the MAGA-sphere." The American flag sweater felt aggressively patriotic, especially at a time when her husband's opinions are dividing a lot of people.

A floral slip dress did nothing for Cheryl Hines

Back in 2023, the slip dress was the most versatile trend of the summer. Not quite right on cue, Cheryl Hines sampled the look two years later on the red carpet in June 2025 in Italy. Unfortunately she didn't follow these tips for elevating a slip dress for any occasion, and was left in a look that gave  a lazy vibe. The skimpy look was no longer on trend and felt, frankly, a bit boring.

Outdated jeans were a fail for Cheryl Hines in 2024

The biggest denim trends of 2024 did not include skinny jeans. In fact they looked downright outdated, which is why Cheryl Hines' outfit at a Groundlings reunion show in the summer of 2024 lands on the list of her most awful looks in recent years. Instead, she would have looked more on-par with a trouser cut, a barrel, or other wide-leg style. Also, her white sneakers felt a bit jarring with the dark outfit.

Peplum and bows for the Oval Office? Cheryl Hines thought so

In February 2025, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was sworn in as Health and Human Services Secretary in the Oval Office. Standing by his side was wife of more than a decade, Cheryl Hines. In a vintage-looking jacket with polka-dots, a peplum waist and bow belt, she looked to be playing the part of trad wife, filling the role of agreeable politician's partner. If this were always her style, it would feel more genuine; instead, it feels fake and contrived.

Cheryl Hines looked matronly at a film screening

We suspect that Cheryl Hines might've been trying to look more like a proper presidential candidate's wife for a film screening in May 2024 by wearing this shirt dress from Dolce & Gabbana. While the colors are bright and fun, it doesn't feel very event-appropriate. Hines, who announced her support for her husband's candidacy in April 2023, fell instead into the category of Stepford wife, or potentially even table cloth, because wouldn't this be lovely on the dining table? This outfit definitely didn't look like a glam movie star on the beige carpet.
