Victoria Beckham's influence in the beauty and fashion industry is undeniable. The designer may have started out as a member of the iconic '90s girl group the Spice Girls, but today she is known for her beauty and fashion products as well as her family drama. Victoria Beckham will never live down her inappropriate outfit at son Brooklyn's wedding, but that isn't the star's only potential regret. In fact, there have been rare times Victoria Beckham outfits totally flopped. And the same goes for the former pop star's hair.

Over the years, the stunning style transformation of Victoria Beckham has been remarkable, and her hair followed suit. From the iconic '90s bob to her asymmetrical early aughts haircut, Victoria has set plenty of hair trends over the years. However, as with anyone willing to experiment with their look, some of her hair looks went in the wrong direction. Visible extensions? Victoria Beckham had them. A way-too-deep side part? The star tried the look. Ultra-platinum blond? She learned the hard way that the color doesn't suit her. Luckily, Posh Spice left most of her hair faux pas in the noughties, as the designer's locks became much more stylish in the 2010s and 2020s.

In June 2001, Victoria Beckham attended the Silver Clef Awards in London, England. For the occasion, Posh Spice went with a classic Y2K look that included straight flipped-out hair and very dramatic side-swept bangs. The entire hairstyle looked incredibly stiff, and while this may have been stylish at the time, the look didn't age well. Also, the way her hair was styled made her hair look very thin.

For the launch party of the Spice Girls' third studio album "Forever," Victoria Beckham decided to go with an unexpected, messy look. The event was held at the Red Cube Club in London, England, in November 2000, and Posh Spice didn't show up in her most posh look. The singer rocked a floral bra and a sheer green button-up, which wasn't even buttoned up, but loosely tied instead. To fit the casual and beachy aesthetic, Beckham wore messy bedhead hair that certainly left us wondering whether she forgot to brush it before leaving home.

Extensions have truly come a long way over the years, as they tend to be more undetectable today. In the 2000s, however, it was rather common to catch a celebrity rocking hair extensions, as their hair would often split in areas where strands were attached. While we don't know that Victoria Beckham's greenish hair came from the pool, it's clear that the star's locks weren't in the best condition when she attended Live 8 London in July 2005. The fashion designer was rocking blond highlights at the time, and her hair seemingly had a slight greenish tint to it. Of course, this is very common after blond hair ends up in chlorinated water. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to fix blond hair that's turned green from swimming in the pool, and Beckham's tresses were in peak condition soon after.

In April 2004, Victoria and David Beckham attended a 19 Management party in London, England, and while Posh Spice may have looked cool at the time, her hair color and style have aged poorly. Not only was the mother of four rocking chunky, visible highlights — you know, the kind you get after using a cap with holes — but she also had odd, super-straight curtain bangs. Frankly, her look just needed a tad more blending at the roots and a better blowout.

In the 2000s, Victoria Beckham's hair was very influential. So when the star decided to get a short asymmetrical haircut, plenty of women across the globe followed suit. And while the haircut tends to be polarizing — you either love it or you hate it — it actually wasn't the worst part of Posh's late 2000s look. In September 2007, Beckham rocked platinum-blond hair during New York Fashion Week, and the cool shade simply clashed too much with her fake tan.

Even though Victoria Beckham explored messier hairstyles back in the day, over the years, the star seemingly realized that sleeker and more glamorous looks suit her better. In September 2003, however, the musician-turned-designer showed up to the Lycra British Style Awards with messy curling-iron ringlets styled in an odd half-updo. While she was going for effortless chic, her hair simply gave off the impression of running out of time while getting ready for the event.

While Victoria Beckham's 2007 haircut is today mostly associated with being a Karen, back then, it was a very trendy style. However, with the long front pieces and a deep side part, it often resulted in emo bangs that covered one eye completely. The singer accessorized the look with a black bedazzled bandana, and we can't decide if this made matters better or worse.

The former pop star went for a super -messy pixie, with plenty of pieces defying gravity. However, she paired it with a very posh outfit and a Blair Waldorf-esque headband, which totally clashed with the hairstyle.
