Our Personal Stylist Says The Key To Fixing Erika Kirk's Dramatic Beauty Looks Is This One Thing

Since she took center stage on the MAGA scene, Erika Kirk, who lives quite the lavish life, has been very clear in establishing her signature look. In addition to loud outfits that remind us of her pageant days, the Turning Point USA CEO continuously opts for dramatic glam that stands out even among the other Republican ladies in the Trump world. While everyone is free to embrace the aesthetic they feel the most comfortable in, personal stylist and image consultant Cynthia Kennedy believes that a little refinement would work wonders for Kirk's beauty game.

"When you've been in pageants, the look of big hair, bold makeup, figure-hugging silhouettes, sparkle, and drama can stay with you," she explains exclusively to Glam. Kennedy, the creator of Your Style Transformation Academy, notes that while there's nothing wrong with this specific style of beauty, it doesn't always translate well for the average event.

The stylist shares that the stage is where heavy glam excels. "Pageant makeup is used to being seen from a distance. In daily life or professional settings, that amount of makeup can overpower your face," Kennedy says. In particular, she points to the staples of Kirk's look — including false eyelashes, bold lipstick, and sculpted contouring — revealing that the "makeup starts to 'wear you'" when all of them compete on one face. "I would suggest turning down one or two elements," Kennedy adds. "Less contour, more skin showing through, less heavy eyelashes, and a more natural lip color would still look great, but allow her features to shine." Pulling back on parts of her makeup would go a long way in elevating Kirk's appearance, especially as you don't actually need lashes for a glam makeup look. Kennedy says that giving the same treatment to her hair will have her looking phenomenal.

Refining her hairstyle would switch up Erika Kirk's overall look

Erika Kirk's hair is perhaps the most identifiable feature of her public image. Long, blond, and thick, her mane certainly sets her apart. However, Cynthia Kennedy tells us that switching up her hairstyle — even minimally — could win her major style points.

"Long, blond extensions aren't bad in themselves, but if they're always very big and overly done, they fall into that pageant arena," she shares in our exclusive chat. "A little shorter length, more natural movement, or just less fullness would immediately make her look more modern." Rapunzel-length seems to be Kirk's thing, but Kennedy clarifies that she doesn't necessarily have to go in for a big chop — or any chop at all — in order to elevate her hair. "Even keeping the length but making the style softer would make a big difference," she says.

It's clear from Kirk's sequin suits and pageant-style hair that, stylistically, she's an individual rather than a follower. Still, our personal stylist stresses that hair and beauty upgrades are never about stripping away your character or jumping on a bandwagon. Kirk doesn't have to ditch her teased '80s ponytail because it's a woefully outdated hairstyle in 2026, but a subtle move away from the beauty queen style could give her a whole new vibe. "Overall, refinement isn't about toning her down," Kennedy says. "It's about adding depth." From a hair standpoint specifically, this could come in the way of a few layers to add body and movement or some highlights or lowlights to freshen up the look. "If she wants to maintain visibility and confidence, she certainly can," Kennedy assures us. "Confidence is strongest when it feels easy and effortless, not when it is turned up to the loudest level all the time."
