Bravo Stars Amanda Batula And Kyle Cooke's Marriage Was Never Going To Last

When Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke jointly announced their separation in January 2026, no one was shocked. The "Summer House" stars shared in their Instagram Stories (via People), "After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple. We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing." They concluded, "It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we've always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter."

Batula and Cooke got married in September 2021 after dating since 2015, and fans saw their tentative relationship play out in "Summer House" Season 1. Soon, Batula became a full-time cast member, and viewers were witness to the couple's ups and downs for 10 seasons. With their many fights, makeups, and breakups, it appears that a scandal has hit the final nail in the coffin, and the Bravolebrities' relationship will never be the same.

Kyle Cooke had trouble committing to Amanda Batula

Before his debut on "Summer House," Kyle Cooke decided it was officially uncuffing season, and broke things off with Amanda Batula so that he could have a hot boy summer. However, the split didn't last long, and he kept reaching out to her while she was in the Hamptons as well, but Cooke was still dragging his feet about making things official — until the end of the season, that is. With Batula finally as his girlfriend (again), the entrepreneur was for sure going to settle down, one would think. Unfortunately, his partying ways got the best of him, and his betrayal became public knowledge.

During the Season 3 premiere of "Summer House," Lindsay Hubbard confronted Cooke about rumors swirling that he was seen making out with another girl, per Bravo. He then admitted that he had no recollection of it, telling her, "I can't deny it because in April, I had a huge night out with friends, and I was acting selfishly. I got way too drunk, I managed to completely black out ... I don't know what happened." The DJ then stated that he had been cheating on girlfriends since he was 16 years old because commitment scared him. Cooke later told his partner that he was unfaithful in their relationship and she forgave him, but his little dalliance put a strain on their relationship for years.

Kyle Cooke constantly 'sending it' drove Amanda Batula nuts

Kyle Cooke was always ready to "send it" while in the Hamptons, and he often went overboard, exasperating Amanda Batula. In Season 2 of "Summer House," the house threw a party, during which an inebriated Cooke thought his girlfriend knocked a bottle of water out of his hand and onto the floor, when in reality, he had toppled it over. The "Loverboy" founder then gaslit Batula by saying she was always annoyed at him, and then said he was thinking twice about marrying her. "Summer should be fun! Amanda — not fun," Cooke told her (via Bravo).

Fast forward to Season 6, and Cooke was still in his partying mode. The first night at the Hamptons house began with him staying out late, and Batula not being able to get a hold of him. In a clip shared by Bravo, fans could see her frantically calling him over 20 times with no answer from her then-fiancé. "My biggest fear is that he would get so drunk one night, he would cheat on me, and he wouldn't even know that it happened, and that's what happened," she told Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller, referring to the Season 3 confession. According to Batula, they had a marriage clause that said if Cooke didn't rein in his drinking, she could call off their engagement, and he'd owe her parents the cost of the wedding. The swimsuit founder obviously went through with the nuptials, but we wouldn't be surprised if there were wedding red flags that their marriage was likely to fail.

Mixing work and marriage wasn't a good idea for Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula

Like the other "Summer House" cast members who had jobs before becoming influencers, Amanda Batula worked as a senior designer for L'Occitane before joining Kyle Cooke's Loverboy team. The sparkling tea drinks creator had asked Batula to quit her full-time job and help out his venture during Season 4, which she was rightfully hesitant about, but ended up agreeing to become the company's creative director. Ahead of their marriage two years later, the two reality stars had a convo about how Loverboy would fit into their prenup, with Batula telling her fiancé during Season 6, "Your investors want the security of knowing that I will not have majority stake in the business, and if we separate without a prenup, that's a possibility." When Cooke said she'd never get the majority, she shot back with, "I quit my full-time job to work for Loverboy" (via Instagram).

With an already shaky relationship, working together proved to be stressful for the couple, with Batula revealing to Us Weekly in April 2024, "I've taken a slight step back for the sake of our relationship." She added, "I think that we were at a place where I would be frustrated about something happening on my end, and he would take it very personally. Or he'd complain about something that I approved, and I made a decision on, and I would take it personally."

Amanda Batula wanted to move out of the city

The whole premise of "Summer House" was working professionals in Manhattan who escaped to the Hamptons every weekend, but Amanda Batula was sick of living in the city and wanted to move to a New Jersey suburb. During Season 8, she told Kyle Cooke, "You know I've been wanting to like, move out of the apartment forever. And I know that we're not going to move out permanently, but I really want somewhere to like, be able to escape to." Cooke didn't look too thrilled at the idea, but Batula later told the cameras, "I'm, like, dying for a backyard. I want to sip coffee on my back deck. I want dew on my grass. Like, there are so many things that I just crave, and you don't get in a city" (via Bravo).

Batula's wish fell on deaf ears, and in a later episode, Paige DeSorbo yelled at Cooke, "You didn't even want to compromise on moving. You won't compromise on anything with her. Let her live in New Jersey and drink her Coronas in the backyard and make a swimsuit line and let it fail. Who cares? Let her be happy" (via Us Weekly). While he ultimately apologized to Batula, they obviously never moved out of the city and to the 'burbs, where the swimwear creator just wanted some sunshine and grass.

Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke both did some shady things

After Amanda Batula wanted to pivot from Loverboy to working as a swimwear designer, Kyle Cooke fulfilled his lifelong dream of being a DJ and actually started booking gigs. However, this caused an even bigger rift between the married couple, with Batula sharing in "Summer House" Season 10 that she's happy for his new career, but was upset about him drinking and staying out late. While talking to Ciara Miller and Lindsay Hubbard, she revealed that months prior, her husband had come home after 6:00 am after falling asleep at a stranger's house. "I can't be putting up with it forever," she declared (via Bravo).

It seems Batula finally got sick of Cooke's antics, and in March, there were rumors of her hooking up with fellow "Summer House" star West Wilson. The talk turned out to be true, and the co-stars put out a joint statement confirming their relationship. "We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected," they shared in their Instagram Stories (via Bravo). This was a total slap in the face to Ciara Miller, who was close with Batula and had an on-and-off relationship with Wilson, and the whole "Summer House" crew is now backing the nurse/model. It remains to be seen if the show will survive this scandal, but we're betting that Batula and Cooke's marriage definitely will not.
