The wide-brimmed felt hat Melania Trump wore to the 2025 presidential inauguration caught the attention of news outlets worldwide for all the wrong reasons. Melania paired the cartoonishly dramatic hat with a matching navy coat and high white collar, the severe lines of which only enhanced her villainous appearance. Meanwhile, Ivanka Trump took a more classic approach. The businesswoman opted for a well-tailored dark green skirt suit paired with a hat of her own — a matching beret tilted just so. Ivanka's inauguration day look oozed sophistication.

Ivanka Trump's most expensive outfits don't always hit the mark, but the Oscar de la Renta skirt suit she wore to the 2026 State of the Union address certainly did. Ivanka's black and gray glitter ombre suit was tailored to perfection, unlike the sparkly trousers her stepmother wore the week prior. During a 2017 meeting with the late Pope Francis, Melania Trump looked downright frumpy next to Ivanka Trump. Both the FLOTUS and her stepdaughter donned black dresses and veils to visit the Vatican's Apostolic Palace, but Melania's entire ensemble was just off.
