Uma Thurman's Look-Alike Daughter Maya Hawke Has Grown Up To Be Stunning

As the daughter of Hollywood stars Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, Maya Hawk was always going to become a star in her own right. Born in 1998, Maya grew up with parents in the limelight, but her childhood was magical nevertheless. "My parents are magical," she said on the podcast "Good Hang with Amy Poehler" in 2025. "My mom was this magical creature who would come home from work and she was looking fabulous, but she'd take everything off and immediately put on a big velvet skirt and gardening gloves and go outside and teach me how to pull up stinging nettles to make soup." Even though her parents separated in 2003, Hawk remembers her childhood as a happy period.

By the time Hawk was a teen, she was already attending industry events with her parents, and red carpets were no longer unexplored territory. Even back then, it was clear that Maya was the spitting image of her famous mother, looking like a mini-me version of the actor with the same eyes, face shape, and sandy-toned hair. Maya began acting in the mid-2010s, and soon she found a place for herself in the industry thanks to projects like "Stranger Things" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." By this time, red carpet events were part of her job, as Maya was more and more in the spotlight.

Unfortunately, while there are numerous celebrity kids who inherited their parents' famous style, Maya doesn't really fall into that group. In a candid 2026 conversation with Vogue Hong Kong, Hawke shared that she likes to curate her wardrobe so it evokes emotions for her. "There was a woman I knew when I was 18 who always wore dark navy-blue jeans and a Saint James striped shirt, and I just thought she was so beautiful," she said, adding, "She was in her early 70s, and I was like: 'When I grow up, I wanna look like her.' So I just kind of copied her."

Hawke's style, often containing vintage pieces, is both eclectic and timeless. There are parallels with Uma Thurman's wardrobe, which relies on classic lines and simplicity, but the young "Stranger Things" star's look tends to be on the quirkier side. The actor revealed a story behind a jewelry piece that she often rocks, explaining that it has significant sentimental value to her. "It's a Celtic cross that a friend of my mom's gave to her when I was like 11 or 12, and when I saw it I freaked out — like, 'Is that a magical talisman?'" she shared in 2023 (via Blackbird Spyplane). "To this day, any time I'm going to something that makes me nervous I wear it."
