Bunnie Xo Embraces 'Uncomfortable Conversations' In Her Marriage & It Works Wonders

Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll have been married since 2016, and vulnerable communication has been key in getting them this far. The "Dumb Blonde" podcast host has helped the singer raise his children, especially his daughter Bailee, and she financially invested in his album "Addiction Kills." In a 2020 Instagram post caption, Jelly Roll wrote, "Somebody asked me what's the secret to our marriage the other day. I didn't even have to think about — it's simple — we are comfortable having uncomfortable conversations, we prioritize communication, we have learn to laugh at the small s***, and above everything we don't take anything [too] seriously."

Like the great Olivia Newton-John, whose love life was filled with highs and lows, Bunnie Xo is no stranger to relationship challenges. Embracing uncomfortable discussions became particularly important in 2018, when she and Jelly Roll decided to rekindle their relationship following his affair. "We didn't realize that there was so much that we both needed to heal separately and together to even have a good relationship ... The first three years [were] rough," Bunnie told Gayle King in a February 2026 Oprah Daily interview. "When people go through infidelity, everybody's going to deal with it differently ... And so instead of pointing my finger at him, I just wanted to stand beside him and figure it out."

Bunnie Xo appreciates that Jelly Roll keeps his promises

Another key to the success of Bunnie Xo's marriage is Jelly Roll keeping his word. This was huge in his earning her trust back following their 2018 split. "I did a lot of work to repair that relationship," Jelly Roll said in an October 2025 interview on the "Human School" podcast. "We're stronger than we could've ever been. I wish our story would've went in the way that it never had an affair, and I'm in no way glad it happened, but, man, I'm proud of who we are today."

Despite his infidelity, Bunnie Xo praises her husband for generally keeping his word. At the start of their marriage, Jelly Roll promised to earn enough so she would no longer have to be a sex worker and he proved sincere. Although Bunnie continued the work until she was financially independent, during her Oprah Daily interview she told Gayle King, "My husband does not say things he doesn't mean ... but I wanted to do things my way." In 2022, she was able to shut down her Only Fans, thanks to the success of her podcast, "Dumb Blonde." The following year, Bunnie and Jelly Roll renewed their wedding vows, a pivotal moment in their relationship and their commitment to one another.

Getting married unlocked new sides of Cameron Diaz, and the same could be said of Bunnie and Jelly. "We fought to become the people we are, to break the childhood traumas we were 'blessed' with & learn to love in a healthy way," Bunnie wrote in a September 2023 post (via E! News). "No matter what life has thrown our way we walked thru the fire together, hand in hand w/ a smile." The couple, along with Jane Kaczmarek's "fairytale" rekindling with her high school sweetheart, prove love is timeless.
