Then & Now: Cindy Crawford And Rande Gerber Have Grown Together Through Their Marriage
It's no secret that in the world of the rich and famous, long-lasting relationships are rather rare. Over the years, we've lost a bit of our faith in love each time a beloved couple splits. Nevertheless, there are a few couples who still manage to renew our faith in endless love, and one of them is model Cindy Crawford and her husband of 28 years, businessman Rande Gerber.
On May 29, Crawford shared a wedding anniversary post on Instagram, featuring a black-and-white photo of the couple on their wedding day and another on their most recent wedding anniversary. While 28 years have passed, it certainly looks as if their love has only grown. Gerber also shared a public anniversary post on his Instagram Stories, with a throwback photo of the two on vacation.

The couple met in the early 1990s, but they didn't start dating until the second half of the decade. "We met at my agent's wedding," Crawford shared with Harper's Bazaar in 2015. "When I met him I was still with Richard [Gere] and he didn't want to go to the wedding with me." Her now-husband also had a girlfriend at the time, but the fact that they were both unavailable when they met is what helped grow their connection. "That's the best time to meet someone because that's when you're truly yourselves," Crawford mused. "We became friends and after Richard and I broke up then we started dating," she added. Almost three decades later, the couple seems to be as in love as ever.

In 2024, the supermodel appeared on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," where she shared a bit more insight into why the two have managed to have a long-lasting love. Just like the adorable three words Goldie Hawn uses to describe her relationship with Kurt Russell, Crawford had some great advice as well.
"Rande and I are friends, too. That's the advice I give my kids," she explained, stressing the importance of building their romance on a friendship. "Of course, you need the other stuff — that's the fun chemistry and all that. But if that wasn't there, would you be friends with this person?" The model added that how they treat each other during disagreements also plays a crucial role in their longevity. "We really respect each other, and we don't fight dirty, that's another thing. Don't say things you can't take back."
Gerber and Crawford's relationship is further strengthened by sharing two children, son Peter and model daughter Kaia Gerber. Both proud parents regularly share throwback snaps and loving posts about their kids, and we're particularly excited to see more shots of Kaia Gerber channeling her mom Cindy Crawford's iconic style.
