Hallmark Star Julie Gonzalo Looks Stunning In Multiple Different Hair Colors

Now a certified Hallmark queen, Julie Gonzalo rose to fame thanks to 2000s teen films like "Freaky Friday" and "A Cinderella Story." While film roles are a big part of her career, Gonzalo also appeared in numerous television series, including "Veronica Mars" and "Supergirl," among others. Considering that she has worked in the entertainment industry since the early aughts, it's not surprising that we got to see her switch up her look multiple times. In fact, when it comes to her hair, Gonzalo definitely enjoys a change, and surprisingly, every choice she has made so far has been fabulous.

While the actor is mostly rocking dark brown hair today, when she rose to fame in the 2000s, Gonzalo was a blond. Seeing photos of the actor at a CW event in 2006 makes it undeniable: Gonzalo is one of the celebs who went from blond to brunette and stunned both ways. While her light blond hair with subtle shadow roots was a perfect 2000s look, the actor rocked a slightly darker shade of blond prior. For the premiere of the holiday film "Christmas with the Kranks" in 2004, Gonzalo rocked a poufy updo that beautifully showcased her dark blond highlighted hair. And while there are perks and downsides of having brunette hair, we have to admit that we do miss seeing Gonzalo with a lighter hair color.

Between Julie Gonzalo's journey from being light blond in the aughts to becoming a dark brunette in the late 2010s, there have been a variety of hair colors and styles the actor has rocked. In 2016, the "Dallas" star shared a selfie on her Facebook, captioning it, "Whatever color is happening to my hair right now is alright by me." The image featured Gonzalo rocking brown hair with lighter ends, in line with the subtle ombré hair trend still popular at the time.

In 2018, she shared a snapshot of herself with copper hair on Instagram, thanking her hairstylist Christopher Pierce in the caption. While Gonzalo eventually traded the red hues for a classic brown, we have to admit that this particular shade of red looked very natural on the star. Of course, knowing your skin undertone is essential when choosing a copper hair color, and it's clear that Pierce knew exactly what he was doing.

In 2023, the "Eli Stone" actor shared yet another hair transformation on Instagram, this time debuting her curtain bangs. At the time, Gonzalo was rocking long brown hair that was slightly lighter at its ends, and the color and cut were certainly reminiscent of '70s hair trends. And as the actor, who became a second-time mother in June 2026, explores hair trends in her 40s, we're thrilled to see just what direction her hair color goes in next.
