Soap Opera Star Hunter King's Unconventional Wedding Dress Matched Her Fun Theme
We've certainly seen plenty of glamorous wedding looks over the years. While there are many timeless Old Hollywood wedding dresses that we look back on and love today, there are just as many unconventional celebrity wedding dresses that really left a mark on us. Among them is Hunter King's unexpected wedding look. The former "Young and the Restless" star decided that she wanted more than your average wedding, so before her traditional, intimate Tuscany nuptials with close family and friends in June 2026, she and her husband, Chris Copier, decided to go for something even more romantic. The two eloped on Valentine's Day and took the celebration a step further with a medieval-themed ceremony, which she shared photos of on Instagram.
As you can see, King took this opportunity to don a less conventional dress for this occasion. She forewent white altogether and instead wore a long, periwinkle-blue gown with bell sleeves and corset-style lacing in the front. The medieval theme wasn't confined to the bride; the groom, and all of the couple's guests wore era-appropriate costumes of varying degrees, including Hunter's actor sister Joey King (who has had a stunning style transformation herself). We love how unique this is compared to a simpler wedding. It's also such a fun way to celebrate, in addition to a more standard ceremony, if you're into the idea of having multiple weddings.
Hunter King's personal style is a lot more toned down
While Hunter King's medieval-themed wedding celebration was definitely a little out there, the star usually dresses a bit more traditionally while out on the carpet and in her daily life. But traditional doesn't mean boring. King usually opts for simpler, yet flattering, silhouettes in colors that suit her complexion. In a June 2026 Instagram post, the actor was spotted wearing a Barbie-pink midi dress, and in another post, she showed off a gorgeous avocado-green maxi dress.
As for her everyday style, you can see in the above photo that she's a casual jeans, heels, and cardigan type of gal. While her fashion is definitely on the understated side, it may be why she chose to do something so different and over-the-top for her Valentine's Day elopement. It isn't often that she dresses in full costume, so you can tell she seized the opportunity to do something more exciting.
