Taylor Swift Brought The '70s Aesthetic Into 2026 With This Chic 'Fit
Taylor Swift is back in the studio, and the internet is abuzz about it. The "Life of a Showgirl" singer was seen leaving Electric Lady Studios in June 2026, and let us say, Taylor Swift clearly has some style secrets to teach us. She was seen leaving the studio early in the A.M. after an all-night recording session, wearing a '70s-inspired outfit that instantly turned heads. In fact, it reminds us of some of our favorite '70s fashion trends that are, rightfully, having a resurgence. While the look was decidedly casual, the colors were so well-balanced, and the 'fit was incredibly chic.
Swift rocked a burnt-orange and gold-patterned top with barrel jeans and a pair of cognac-colored heels. The stunning style transformation of Taylor Swift proves that she's come a long way since her "Tim McGraw" days. While the pop star has gone through many fashion phases over the years (from over-the-top sparkles to Old Hollywood glamour), this new era seems to reflect a simpler style chapter. Simpler, but still elegant and put together. Swift is also known for dropping Easter eggs to her fans about the direction of her next music project before it drops. This '70s aesthetic she's rocking has us wondering if we can expect her next record to draw influences from that era, following in the footsteps of one of her most popular albums, "1989."
Taylor Swift has worn other boho-chic outfits recently
Taylor Swift is always intentional about what she wears, and we're noticing a pattern. If she only wore a '70s-inspired look that one time lately, we might dismiss the idea that it was intentional. But, Swift has recently worn other outfits with boho floral prints that make us think even more that she's entering a new music era and is giving us a hint about it. Swift was seen wearing a black strapless floral gown to the 55th annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala earlier in June, and it's definitely different than what we're used to seeing the pop superstar wear to award shows.
Swift also donned another boho floral-patterned dress earlier in the month to the "Toy Story 5" premiere. This look is equally gorgeous and is making us even more excited about the possibility of a '70s-style album from Swift. The pop star has previously revealed that she likes to change up her style based on inspiration in the moment, and that still seems to be the case today. In her 2013 YouTube series, "Keds Presents: Taylor Swift on Style" (via Entertainment Tonight), she said, "I always seem to have a style inspiration, and I end up evolving my entire wardrobe around that. I'll have these style epiphanies. When I was 15, I realized that I loved the idea of a ... sundress and cowboy boots and that's all I wore for, like, two years." We can't wait to see how this applies to her next stage of musical inspiration. Clearly, we're hoping it moves in the direction of the '70s.
