Princess Diana's Niece Lady Kitty Spencer Has Proven She's A Style Superstar Time & Time Again

The fashion ethos of the British royals tends to be restricted by palace rules and family traditions, so even the biggest style stars of the family can rarely experiment too much with their wardrobes. But the House of Windsor is also connected to a few fashionistas who aren't tied down by the same expectations as their royal relatives. Of course, we're talking about model and socialite Lady Kitty Spencer, the niece of the late Princess Diana and first cousin to Princes William and Harry. 

Kitty is the eldest daughter of Earl Charles Spencer, Diana's brother, and his ex-wife Victoria Aitken, making her a stylish royal (or strictly speaking, aristocrat) that should be on your radar. Following the death of her aunt in 1997, she moved to South Africa with her family, and was raised between there and England. She made a name for herself as a model — which may have been where she picked up her sartorial skills — before marrying billionaire Michael Lewis in 2021 and welcoming daughter Athena in April 2023. For her wedding, Kitty wore a spectacular Dolce & Gabbana lace gown, and as an ambassador for the brand, has continued to don D&G dresses more often than not.

Her collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana seems like the perfect fit, since her tastes seem to lean glamorous, ultra-feminine, and sensual, while maintaining an Italian-inspired vibe. While we've seen her in block colors, muted, neutral tones, and the clean lines of her old money upbringing, some of Kitty's best looks have been the loud and the maximalist. Whether she's getting cheeky in a sheer dress, channeling fairytales in whimsical, romantic silhouettes, or amping up the glamour with feathers and carats (and we do mean carats) of gemstones, Lady Kitty Spencer always dresses to impress.

For the London premiere of "The Devil Wears Prada 2" in April 2026, Lady Kitty Spencer made a statement in fiery red. Her Dolce & Gabbana fitted gown might have paid tribute to Anne Hathaway's crimson dress at the premiere for the first film back in 2006, or perhaps she was simply trying to be fierce on a red carpet that she had to share with the likes of Meryl Streep. Kitty accessorized with green bling, which was striking against her porcelain skin and the bright scarlet tone of the dress. 

As much as we love Lady Kitty Spencer in a vibrant shade, she suits pale gold just as well. Once again in Dolce & Gabbana for a brand event held by the Italian fashion house during the Monaco Grand Prix in October 2025, the socialite came to slay in a princess-like gilded ballgown with matching metallic pointed pumps. But the pièce de résistance of this dazzling 'fit had to be the tourmaline necklace crafted by D&G's Alta Gioielleria, which was a whopping 74.4 carats. Definitely a key moment in Kitty Spencer's stunning style transformation!

Feathers are all over the red carpet in 2026, but Lady Kitty Spencer was clearly ahead of the curve. As a brand ambassador, Kitty is rarely without a Dolce & Gabbana piece, whether she's in a statement ballgown or carats of diamonds. For the Pink Ball at the British Museum held in October 2025, she dressed the part in an all-pink look cultivated by the fashion house. The Alta Gioielleria floral necklace and earring set was the perfect complement to her strapless sweetheart bubblegum-toned gown, which was finished with a feathery stole. Bellissima! 

Lady Kitty Spencer's style is so enviable because she doesn't have to make a huge statement to own the red carpet. The model had a huge October 2025, also making her way to Madrid, Spain that month for a charity gala held by Elle. She appeared in a strapless black column gown that would have been painfully minimal if not for the silvery jeweled embellishment which piped its way around the bodice. Paired with simple hair, makeup, and accessories, the metallic pattern stood out in all the right ways.

Generally, Lady Kitty Spencer's style leans more conservative — well, as conservative as you'd expect for the cousin of the future king of England. She abandoned her old money aesthetic for something a little more daring at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Sartoria show at Rome's Castel Sant'Angelo in July 2025. Channeling a '50s pinup girl with her glamorous blond curls, she wore a boned corset with a totally sheer skirt that showed off her legs. Complete with the bulky statement necklace, this look was guaranteed to leave an impression.

We've seen her nail gold, red, and black, but there's something about white on Lady Kitty Spencer that makes us scream, "Yes!" For the amfAR Gala in May 2025, the aristocrat went for a head-to-toe white look. It's the romantic intricacy of the lacework that wins this look over for us — the detail of the fitted gown, including the whimsical flared sleeves and round-neck collar, turned this dress from "giant doily" to "fairytale masterpiece." Going for a simple sleek bun and soft lip was the perfect move, balancing out the maximalism of the dress with more subdued glam.

Anyone can look fabulous in a show-stopping gilded dress, but not everyone can pull off a simple set of beige pants and a white ribbed polo like Lady Kitty Spencer can. For the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Spring/Summer show at Paris Fashion Week in January 2020, Kitty braved the French winter in a simple top with elbow-length sleeves, pleated slacks, and open-toed heels. The wine-colored accessories really were the icing on this neutral, minimalist cake, and proved the socialite knows exactly how to bring a little oomph to muted, old money styles.

You better believe Lady Kitty Spencer can rock a minidress just as well (if not better) than she dons her more elegant formal frocks. While she was in Milan, Italy in September 2025 for the Dolce & Gabbana show, she attended the brand's exclusive afterparty in a form-fitting mini that left her long legs on display. The dove-gray dress was adorned with jewel-toned bling in a mosaic style, and Kitty tied everything together with a velvet clutch, silver heeled sandals, and blush tones of makeup. 

All three Spencer sisters wore dresses with light steel-blue bases to the Centrepoint Awards in London, England in October 2024. However, Lady Kitty Spencer undeniably stole the show from her sisters, twins Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer, with her Italian-themed dress. The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda frock featured a motif of a gondola in the canals of Venice, its bold colors striking against the rest of the gown's sheer overlay. She certainly gave the Renaissance artists a run for their money with this scene-stealing display.

Sorry, but we'll never not be obsessed with the color combo of pink and cherry. Once again, Lady Kitty Spencer demonstrated her fashion prowess with a mastery of this sacred fashion technique in September 2019, when she attended the Alberta Ferretti show at Milan Fashion Week. She paired her baby-pink suit, which featured unique cuffed pants, with cherry suede boots and a matching handbag. The ruffled placket salmon blouse added another dimension here, taking the look from simply aesthetic to a lesson in fashion risk-taking. And as always, it paid off for Princess Diana's niece.
