Side-By-Side Pics Of Mary Steenburgen Prove She's Just Getting Better With Age

Audiences have gotten to know actor Mary Steenburgen's work well over the years. While she's remembered by most for her roles in "Step Brothers," "Elf," and more recently in Netflix's "A Man on the Inside," her youthful facial features have endured over her long career. As a septuagenarian, she's stunning, of course, but much like fellow actor Jennifer Connelly who is aging like fine wine, when you look at her older photos, Steenburgen looks largely the same as she did even back in the '80s. We definitely want to know her secret.

As you can see, Steenburgen is such a natural beauty. The photo on the left was taken in 1985 and the photo on the right was taken in 2026. It's remarkable how much the actor's face hasn't changed. While, yes, her hair color and cut look very different than they used to, there's no denying that whatever she's using in her beauty routine is working. 

There are so many 60-plus celebs that just get better with age (seriously, see Hallmark star Barbara Niven who is still a blond bombshell in her 70s). Mary Steenburgen easily makes that list, and the actor has a great attitude toward aging. She told Allure in 2013 that she was excited to turn 60. "I decided if you're lucky enough to be alive, you should use each birthday to celebrate what your life is about," she said.

While the actor doesn't seem to have a rigorous skincare routine that keeps her extra youthful-looking, she did share a little bit more on her beauty favorites in a Gigi Saffron & Ever interview once. "It is hard for me to do interviews about my beauty regimens because they are so odd, in a way, and definitely not for everyone," she admitted. "First of all, even though it is a cliche, there is no substitute for laughter and love ... Here are a few [things] that I will share: I love Young Living Essential Oils and their skincare line. It is expensive but wonderful and very pure." The actor also shared that she loves Arcona products for the same reason and said the brand gives amazing facials. It's refreshing to read that Steenburgen isn't overly high maintenance when it comes to beauty, but even if her routine is simple, she looks incredible.
