Kendall Jenner's Philosophy For Baby Names Is Completely Different From Her Siblings'

Out of all the many trends the Kardashian-Jenner clan popularized among their celebrity peers throughout the 2010s, unorthodox baby names are one of the longest-lasting. While non-traditional baby names are nothing new in Hollywood – one of the distinctive celebrity baby names that got way too much hate belongs to Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's daughter Apple, whom they welcomed all the way back in 2004 — the Kardashian-Jenners have chosen some of the most unique names for their children in recent years. From Kim Kardashian's daughters North and Chicago, to Kylie Jenner's Stormi and Aire, most of the family bestow one-of-a-kind names on their little ones. Unlike her sisters, Kendall Jenner has made it clear that she's not the biggest fan of what she calls "nepo baby names."

During an interview with Owen Thiele on the "In Your Dreams" podcast in early 2026, the model explained that she's "so over" current celebrity baby name trends. "I think that it's kind of ridiculous, the whole name situation," Jenner said, going on to reveal that she already has a list of "normal" baby names. "[I love] a good normal name. Like a beautiful, normal name," she said. Jenner went on to emphatically deny that she would follow her mother's lead and use "K" names for her future kids, telling Thiele that the best celebrity names are those that are unique and "iconic," but don't veer into ridiculous territory — she cited Joaquin Phoenix and Brad Pitt as examples of "incredible" names. Though Jenner isn't a mother yet, she's already thinking ahead about her potential children.

Kendall Jenner is the only member of her immediate family to not have kids — and she doesn't plan on starting a family of her own anytime soon. Although Kris Jenner is one of the many celebs who absolutely love being a grandparent, her daughter isn't ready. While Jenner playfully mentioned her running list of potential baby names on the "In Your Dreams" podcast, she has made it quite clear that it doesn't mean that she's ready to have children. Jenner talked to Vogue France in February 2026 about her outlook on family and how her goals have shifted after turning 30. "I want to have some, but not right away. I want to make sure I can dedicate a lot of time to them, and for now, I'm still too busy," Jenner said, as per KATV translation.

The model told the outlet that she's more concerned with personal growth as of now, and maintaining her independence as a woman in her 30s is paramount. "I think most women, most people, understand this: when you're in your 20s, you don't always know exactly who you are or what you want, so things can quickly become difficult or stressful," Jenner explained. "It was the same for me: when I was 20, I was too stressed and spent all my time running around. Now that I'm 30, I want to focus on myself." Given Jenner's dedication to her career, fantastic style, and mature, grounded perspective on life, there's no doubt that if she decides to welcome children of her own, her celebrity kids will have the potential to be fashion icons as well as well-rounded individuals.
