What The Leading Ladies Of Boy Meets World Look Like Today

Chances are that, if you grew up in the '90s, you've probably watched "Boy Meets World." This ABC coming-of-age sitcom followed Cory Matthews, played by Ben Savage, as he navigated life alongside his family and friends. Fans definitely grew up with the show's main characters during the seven seasons that it aired between 1993 and 2000, and many are still watching it today. The show is so iconic that Disney created a spinoff: "Girl Meets World" ran from 2014 to 2017. Now, there's a popular rewatch podcast, "Pod Meets World," hosted by both shows' former stars, Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong. "'Boy Meets World' has such a special place in so many hearts and I wouldn't trade it for anything," Fishel told Woman's World in 2026.

Fishel, who had a stunning style transformation over the years, admitted that she and her co-stars didn't initially realize how impactful "Boy Meets World" would be. "We had the feeling we were doing the show for our grandparents. I'm actually thankful we didn't know that too many people were watching, because it made us more thoughtful," she said at the 2018 New York Comic-Con (via EW). While the show is called "Boy Meets World," it was the leading ladies who stood out to many of its fans. Besides Danielle Fishel, Betsy Randle, Trina McGee, and Maitland Ward remain close to the industry — the only leading lady of the show who decided to retire from acting was Lindsay Ridgeway, which explains her absence from this list. It's safe to say that even with the original sitcom ending almost three decades ago, most of them look like they haven't aged a day.

Danielle Fishel's "Boy Meets World" character Topanga Lawrence was always an overachiever, and Fishel is clearly no different. "I have been fortunate to work in so many different aspects of the industry over the last 30 plus years both in front of and behind the camera," Fishel told Woman's World in 2026. As an actor, Fishel most notably returned as Topanga for "Girl Meets World" in 2014. She even directed a few episodes of the spinoff, as well as several other teen shows. Fishel additionally took on some hosting gigs, with 2008's "The Dish," 2022's "Pod Meets World," and QVC's "Christmas in July" in 2026, to name a few.

It seems that Fishel is just as popular now as she was during "Boy Meets World," especially thanks to "Dancing With the Stars," which she joined in 2025 after battling breast cancer. "Knowing how much I enjoy doing the podcast, knowing how much fun we had on 'Boy Meets World,' knowing what an incredible time I had on 'Dancing with the Stars' — all of those things are technically work, but they're very fun work," she told NBC News in 2026. Oh, and did we mention that Fishel, who had one of the most iconic hairstyles of the '90s as Topanga, even has a haircare brand? With all that under her belt, Fishel would make Topanga proud.

We can't talk about the ladies of "Boy Meets World" without mentioning the beloved Matthews family matriarch, Amy Matthews, played perfectly by Betsy Randle. Since the show ended in 2000, Randle has continued acting, appearing in TV shows like "Charmed" in 2004, and more recently  "Matlock" in 2025. Like many of her "Boy Meets World" costars, she also appeared on its spinoff, "Girl Meets World," a few times, as well as multiple episodes of the rewatch podcast, "Pod Meets World," with her latest appearance being in 2025.

Fans have been happy to see Randle over the years, since she remains one of TV's most adored moms. What's more, she looks pretty much the same as she did 30 years ago. On a "Pod Meets World" Instagram post to promote a 2025 episode where Randle was the guest, one fan even wrote, "My favorite TV mom. So comforting, kind and warm." Another commented, "The Bonus Mom to us all!!" Randle, who is a mom in real life too, mostly lives a private life, but she's aware of the impact she had. In 2013, she told EW, "The role of the mother was actually much more heard than I thought at the time. I realize that now as people stop me and thank me for being this good mom."

Trina McGee didn't join "Boy Meets World" until season 5, but quickly became one of the show's favorite leading ladies as Shawn's on-and-off girlfriend, Angela Moore, until the series ended. However, McGee later revealed that she didn't have a great experience behind the scenes and in 2020 spoke out about facing discrimination, including racially insensitive comments from her co-star, Will Friedle, who has since apologized. McGee also had tension with the rest of the cast over the series finale. "I was under the impression that y'all got together and did not want me in the last show, for some reason I was going to take some shine," she admitted on "Pod Meets World" in 2022. Friedle, Danielle Fishel, and Rider Strong denied that allegation, and they were able to make amends.

Outside of speaking about her past on "Boy Meets World," McGee continued acting in films like "Friday After Next," and she also appeared in "Girl Meets World." The married mom-of-three also made headlines in 2024, after she revealed that she got pregnant naturally at age 54, a year into menopause. Sadly, she revealed on "The Tamron Hall Show" that she suffered a miscarriage three months later. "I was still so grateful to have the experience of being able to conceive at this age and this time," she said. McGee is very active on Instagram these days, frequently posting reels. With every post, her followers can confirm she's just as beautiful as she was when she played Angela all those years ago.

Maitland Ward was the last leading lady to join the cast of "Boy Meets World" when she came on as Rachel McGuire for season 6, and while on the show, she wore some '90s fashion trends that are coming back in style. After the show, Ward went on to appear in the fan-favorite movie "White Chicks" in 2004, but her last mainstream credit was on the 2007 TV series "Rules of Engagement." After that, Ward seemingly left Hollywood to become a cosplay performer. In 2019, she joined the adult entertainment industry. While the move was a shock to many of her fans who were used to seeing her in more family-friendly material, Ward told Fox News Digital in 2025 that the response has been mostly positive. "I'm able to create my own brand, my own content, the way I want to create it," she added.

Things, however, aren't as positive with Ward's former "Boy Meets World" co-stars. In 2025, Ward made headlines after she got into a heated argument with Danielle Fishel when she appeared on "Pod Meets World." In 2026, Ward told Fox News Digital, "I just wish that there was a way that we could all come together and not be in this bad place." Ward and Fishel may not be besties, but they have something in common: like the other "Boy Meets World" leading ladies, they have aged beautifully and are thriving in their own way!
