Emma Roberts is giving us all the bridal inspiration we need in 2026. The "American Horror Story" star married fellow actor Cody John in an intimate outdoor ceremony on July 25. The glamorous affair saw Roberts stun in a beautiful custom wedding gown designed by Monique Lhuillier. The gown was made of a custom dyed off-white fabric — the actor told Vogue that she wanted to look like "a little antique ghost doll" –, which was elegantly draped across her corset. Her wedding day ensemble also included a shawl lined with French lace, a chapel-length veil, and, most notably, a lace headpiece that covered Roberts' eyes. This look has certainly earned Roberts a place on the list of the most stunning celebrity wedding dresses of 2026.
Roberts' ethereal bridal look encapsulates several of the 2026 wedding season's biggest trends. Like the actor, many brides are shying away from the traditional stark white for their gowns. The actor is most closely associated with her horror-related projects like "Scream Queens" and "American Horror Story," so it is no big surprise that her wedding looks would tap into that aspect of her career. Roberts may have wanted to look like an "antique ghost doll" with her main wedding day ensemble, but her after-party dress was a different story (yet no less quirky).
Roberts told Vogue that she asked designer Monique Lhuillier for a black gown to defy tradition. "We love doing something that's a little unexpected. This looks like it could be totally vintage from 100 years ago, or from now." Roberts said of the dress. Her after-party look consisted of a two-piece skirt and corset combo based on Lhuillier's archival fall 2004 collection; the corset is made of sheer lace, while the skirt consists of ankle-length tiers of black tulle (a look that Roberts dubbed as "boudoir saloon"). Though all-black is considered a huge no-no when it comes to what not to wear to a wedding, Roberts ignored this unspoken rule and looked undeniably chic while doing so.
