Diane Franklin's Daughter Olivia Looks Just Like The '80s Star

Remember '80s Star Diane Franklin? She and her stunning curls are gorgeous even now. What you probably didn't know, however, is that her daughter Olivia DeLaurentis also happens to look just like her. Honestly, the resemblance is so uncanny, it's easy to mistake a photo of DeLaurentis for one of her mother in the '80s. DeLaurentis posted a selfie of the two on Instagram in March 2026, and that's where you really see the similarities.

The two share so many gorgeous features, including their dynamic brunette hair, eye shape, nose, and smile. That's not all the two have in common either. While Franklin is known for many popular '80s films like "Better Off Dead" and "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure," her daughter, now 30 years old, has also built a career for herself in the entertainment industry. She's a filmmaker, comedian, writer, and director — multi-talented indeed! 

Franklin has nothing but praise for her daughter's accomplishments and told Media Mikes in a 2013 interview that DeLaurentis has been writing, directing, editing, and starring in her own movies since childhood, and even won a film award at just 12 years old. "This is not one of those 'well her mom is an actress and probably helps her'," Franklin said. "She works very hard.... If I had any influence, it was that when they were young, I used to do comedy improv and used to involve my kids."

Unsurprisingly, even Diane Franklin thinks her talented daughter Olivia DeLaurentis could pass for her younger self. In a 2019 interview with ComicBook.com, Franklin discussed "Bill & Ted Face the Music," the 2020 sequel to "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure." At the time, Franklin knew wholeheartedly that her daughter could play a younger version of her in a film like this if it called for it. She even mentioned that her daughter's sketch comedy partner would fit perfectly into the film's universe. "I guess if I had to pick anyone to play alongside Olivia, it would be Sydney [Heller], her partner," she said. "They already have such great chemistry."

Not only that, but Franklin has also acted in some of her daughter's comedy work, including projects called "Humanized" and "My Better Half." It's sweet to see that the two are so close and have so much in common — from work to their uncanny natural beauty, they're practically twins in every way. It's hard to tell if DeLaurentis is one of those celebrity kids who inherited their parents' famous style, but she certainly got her mom's stunning features.
