September is one of our favorite months out of the year because it allows for some really cool nail inspiration to emerge. This is a tricky time of year, in terms of style, because it's technically still summer, but we're moving into fall. However, there are several trendy and gorgeous ways to play with color to create the perfect transition looks. For starters, you can still rely on more summer-leaning nail trends, like the cat-eye look or aura nails, while adding seasonal twists for a summer-to-fall spectacular. 

Even if those trendier looks aren't your cup of tea, there are plenty of traditional shades out there that are soft enough to be appropriate for both seasons.
