Remember Miss Beadle From Little House On The Prairie? What Charlotte Stewart Looks Like Now

"Little House on the Prairie" fans everywhere have had plenty to be excited about lately. The Netflix reboot has brought Laura Ingalls Wilder's beloved characters back to the front of our minds, and thoughts of the cast of the original 1970s series are close behind. If you were a fan of the OG show, then we're sure you've wondered what the leading ladies of "Little House on the Prairie" look like now. One character we absolutely adore who is often overlooked is Charlotte Stewart's Miss Beadle. Eva Beadle (later Eva Beadle-Simms) was the loving schoolteacher at Walnut Grove who taught Mary and Laura Ingalls. While she was certainly a welcome presence on the show, seeing what Stewart looks like now is even more of a treat.

Much like how leading actors Melissa Sue Anderson and Melissa Gilbert bonded long after "Little House on the Prairie," Stewart grew extremely close with fellow star Wendi Lou Turnbaugh, who (along with her twin sister, Brenda Turnbaugh) played Baby Grace Ingalls. So close, in fact, that Wendi and Charlotte took the above selfie together in September 2025. While Miss Beadle was known for her curly updo on the show, Stewart now rocks a short, sleek look with bangs — one of the chic bob hairstyles trending in 2026. In keeping with the time period, Stewart's makeup on "Little House on the Prairie" was minimal, which she also seems to favor in real life. This selfie shows her with a simple, pretty makeup look that really suits her, and her gorgeous smile has also not changed a bit.

While we now see Charlotte Stewart wearing her short bob haircut proudly, it seems that she may have had shorter hair all along! The actor revealed to Buzzfeed in 2025 that she actually wore a wig on the show, and she had a few choice words about it. "It was uncomfortable, but you get used to it pretty quickly," she said. "I had just cut my hair, so there was no choice. I had long hair before, so they couldn't have fashioned it. But we were characters, and I think they would have given me a wig whether I had long hair or not." 

She also revealed that the reason they wanted her to wear a wig was so they could add the iconic curly styling we came to know and love from the character. It's nice to see that Stewart can let her trendy shorter cut out to play now. It's also heartwarming that cast members still see one another often. They're all smiles and it's a mind trip to see what they all look like now.
