Back in March 2026, Charlie Puth and his wife Brooke Sansone welcomed a son, Jude. As a boy's name, Jude has been consistently popular over the last century, and is of Hebrew origins. In September, Lady Gaga surprised her legions of Little Monsters when she welcomed daughter Rose Bean Polansky with fiancé Michael Polansky, and Rebel Wilson also welcomed a daughter called Rose Estelle with partner Ramona Agruma back in May. Lady Gaga and Rebel Wilson definitely used a baby girl name that Hollywood moms love, since Rose has consistently been given to celeb babies over the years, from Rachel Bilson's daughter Briar Rose to Rihanna's son Riot Rose Mayers.

From Apple Martin to North West, Hollywood is a hotbed for baby names that are a little out there. If you like names that feel unique and unexpected, then there have been a few celebrity baby monikers in 2026 worth paying attention to. In January, Meghan McCain and Ben Domenech welcomed Ransom Tanner McCain Domenech, which isn't overly bizarre but still unusual as far as baby names go. It has German and Latin origins and means "shield," so it's a good choice if you want a more robust name. Any name can be gender-neutral, especially since the perception of names changes over time. Ashley, for example, is now predominantly thought of as a girls' name, but it was once a boys' name. However, if you want your baby name to have a more flexible, gender-neutral feel that doesn't have strong connotations either way, there have been a few good celebrity choices in 2026. One of them is Skyler, used in February for David Guetta's son with his girlfriend Jessica Ledon. While Skyler in this case was given to a boy, you could just as easily use this name for a girl; data from The Bump shows that it has been equally popular for girls and boys since the late '90s.

Then there's Finn, a name given to the third child of South African jewelry brand owner Chelsy Davy, who also happens to be the ex of Prince of Harry. It might be slightly more common as a boys' name, but Finn is gaining prominence as a girls' name, too. As one Redditor commented, "Quin was a boys name until someone decided it sounded cute for a girl [then] it became super popular. I think Finn for a girl would be very pretty."

There's nothing wrong with naming your baby after a celebrity — even other celebrities do it! In 2026, there have been a handful of stars who have turned to other stars for their baby-naming inspo, starting in January with Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards and pro soccer athlete Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Traditionally, Dolly has been used as a nickname, but the late country singer seemingly made it more commonplace as a full first name. The same month, "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner and his wife Tay welcomed daughter Lennon Taylor Lautner, who goes by the gorgeous nickname Lenny. While her middle name is clearly a nod to both of her parents, netizens have speculated that her first name was inspired by Beatles singer John Lennon. 

While longer baby names can have a whimsical quality, many people prefer short and sweet names. Quite a few celebrities have already ticked that box in 2026, and we have a few more to add to the list, including Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara, who welcomed daughter Mikey Moon Trainor in January. Of course, Mikey has traditionally been used as a nickname for the boys' name Michael, but fans took to the comment section of Trainor's Instagram post to praise the two-syllable name for a girl.

The same month, Marc Anthony and his wife Nadia Ferreira welcomed daughter Myla. "What a great blessing to be able to share with you the arrival of our precious MYLA," Ferreira wrote in an Instagram caption announcing the arrival. The name has been steadily increasing in popularity since 1995, according to data from The Bump, and is a variation of the super-popular Mila. This could be a good option if you like the short and simple name Mila but want something with slightly different spelling so it stands out.
