Isla Fisher may be an Australian native, but the effervescent funny girl is still one of America's sweethearts, as far as we're concerned. Fisher acted in the laugh-out-loud comedies that punctuated the early 2000s, like "Wedding Crashers" and "Confessions of a Shopaholic," and her transformation over the decades has been fun to watch. She went from cute it-girl 'fits like belly shirts and bootcut jeans in the Y2K era to more mature, classically feminine silhouettes in the 2010s. And, lately, Fisher seems to have married the two vibes, photographed out and about looking playful yet stylish.

But some things never change, like her trademark red hair. We have seen it be long and layered, big and bouncy, and slick and shoulder-length. Isla Fisher feared turning 50 until it actually happened, according to herself, but she eventually embraced getting older, and she's doing it in style. Honestly, she's absolutely owning the process, and we've got the photographic evidence.

2002: Isla Fisher's bare midriff and low-rise slacks were so Y2K-approved

In March 2002, Isla Fisher hit the London premiere of "Ali G Indahouse," a comedy starring her then-boyfriend Sacha Baron Cohen. Fisher and Cohen got married in 2010 and have three kids together; the pair finalized their divorce in 2025. Back then, Fisher was his cutest supporter, dressed in a sheer, ab-exposing periwinkle peasant top, busy with a shimmery floral print, and low-rise white trousers. She slicked her hair straight and popped on a glossy pink lip, must-haves for any Y2K it girl.

2004: Isla Fisher proved her it-girl status in shaggy layers and bootcut jeans

Isla Fisher walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of "I Heart Huckabees" in September 2004, looking girl-next-door charming in a sweater adorned with gold and silver sequins, simple bootcut jeans, and pointy-toe pumps. Fisher had a small role in the film that starred Isabelle Huppert, Naomi Watts, Lily Tomlin, and a cast of other heavy hitters. At the time this picture was taken, Fisher's signature hair had grown out, and she'd added a bunch of shaggy layers, the perfect complement to her dressed-down 'fit.

2007: Isla Fisher debuted a more mature look helped by chopped locks

The 79th annual Academy Awards kicked off in Hollywood in February 2007, and Isla Fisher was among the A-listers in attendance, dressed in an emerald green gown courtesy of Monique Lhuillier. The "Scooby-Doo" star oozed Old Hollywood glamour in the strapless number featuring a sweetheart neckline and a mermaid silhouette. The studded waist belt added a touch of modernity. The gown's rich hue was the perfect pairing for her shorter red hair, styled in barrel curls and with a side part. This was also the year Fisher welcomed her first child, daughter Olive, born in October.

2010: Isla Fisher brought the glamour in big curls and feminine silhouettes

In October 2010, Isla Fisher attended the London premiere of "Burke & Hare," a dark comedy about 19th-century grave robbers in which she starred. Fisher's look for the affair was equal parts sexy and glamorous. Fisher rocked a Dolce & Gabbana red and black lace minidress featuring a sweetheart neckline and nipped-in waist. Needless to say, her accessories really helped underline the dark romance. The actor reached for a cropped suede jacket and matching clutch, sheer stockings, and the platform pumps that were a closet staple for every stylish gal back then.

2013: Isla Fisher channeled the 1920s in a beaded gown with a modern touch

Seemingly a fan of classic silhouettes with a vintage flair around this time, Isla Fisher showcased her feminine style in an elegant yet punchy way in May 2013. The actor attended the New York City premiere of "Now You See Me," dressed in a floor-length column gown that recalls the Art Deco architecture popular in the 1920s and '30s. Fisher wore her hair in a low ponytail with a face-framing fringe to pull together the L'Wren Scott beaded dress. She reprised her role as Henley Reeves in the sleight-of-hand heist movie's 2025 sequel.

2017: Isla Fisher's lob and pencil dress combo was equal parts sexy and sophisticated

Isla Fisher looked sharp, sophisticated, and sexy for the L.A. Dance Project's annual gala in Los Angeles in October 2017. The nonprofit dance company was founded in 2012 and seeks to foster innovation and community through dance. For the fundraising event, Fisher kept it cute and classy in a form-fitting midnight blue Victoria Beckham dress that fell below the knee and featured three-quarter sleeves. She had cut her auburn-colored hair short again, rocking a sleek look styled in soft waves. Fisher's lob is certainly one of those timeless, medium-length haircuts that will make you look youthful and vibrant.

2022: Isla Fisher's messy braid and bare shoulders were so girl-next-door charming

When she swung by the famous Vanity Fair Oscar Party in Beverly Hills in March 2022, Isla Fisher's signature brand of charming quirkiness was on full display. Fisher smiled brightly on the blue carpet, having draped her petite frame in a white and ivory Giambattista Valli dress. She absolutely nailed the more modern peasant look, an on-trend reimagining of the styles popular in the early 2000s. Her locks, longer and more richly toned, hung over one shoulder in an undone braid, and really put a stamp on the carefree look.

2026: Isla Fisher nailed the grown and sexy aesthetic in candy apple red

Having been in the spotlight for nearly three decades, Isla Fisher proved her style is only getting better with time when she stepped out for The Clooney Foundation for Justice's The Albies in October 2026. The London-held event honored individuals making a positive impact on justice and human rights. The actor showed her support dressed in an eye-catching corseted Rebecca Vallance midi dress, and we're loving her gold sandals. She's forever one of our favorite red-haired celebs who will make you want to try the flaming-hot look, and the lighter, sun-kissed tone she's been rocking lately feels so right now.
