Actor Joanna Cassidy has been working in Hollywood since the early 1970s, and it turns out she's still a stunner today. She appeared in a variety of roles for projects like "The Love Boat," "Dallas," and "Blade Runner" throughout the decade, also going on on to star in the cult classic film "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" in 1988. The film mixed real actors with animated characters utilizing methods that were revolutionary at the time and still highly regarded today. Cassidy portrayed Dolores, the girlfriend of Bob Hoskins' protagonist character Eddie Valiant. As Dolores, Cassidy donned a femme fatale aesthetic with moody clothing, a fabulous red lip, and perfectly-styled hair. Today, Cassidy's look is far different. In fact, the star is almost unrecognizable from her "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" days.

Cassidy attended the 2026 Newport Beach Film Festival premiere of the documentary "Sock It to Me," flaunting an edgy platinum blond shag cut. Its flattering shade showed that Cassidy understands how to pick a blond color that is right for one's skin and undertone. In "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," Cassidy donned dark brown curls that were styled primly to suit the film's 1940s setting. The "Blade Runner" star proved that she can rock an alternative vibe just as well as the polished, vintage look she became known for thanks to her performance as Dolores.

Joanna Cassidy revealed that she does her own makeup off-set

While Joanna Cassidy often finds herself in a makeup chair during her time on set, she prefers to customize her own look off-screen. During an interview on the "Meisterkhan Pod" in November 2025, Cassidy explained her rationale for doing her own makeup for photoshoots. "Some makeup artists put so much on me," the "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" star said. "I go, 'Who am I?' ... I like to look more natural." Revisiting pictures of Cassidy — like from her appearance at the "Growing Daisies" premiere in April 2025 — we can see that the actor has discovered how to perfect the soft glam look.

Before she went blond a few years ago, Cassidy rocked her naturally red hair in real life (we know how difficult making the transition between shades can be, so we have plenty of tips for those looking to switch from blond to red hair). In 2013, then-redhead Cassidy shared with How to Be a Redhead that she opts for darker red lipstick shades while donning her natural hair color. As a blond, however, Cassidy seems to prefer mauve-y pinks and natural-leaning colors over bold statement lips. No matter what hair color or makeup style she rocks, the '80s star always stuns.
