There have been numerous makeup trends on TikTok, from creating bow lips to microhighlighting certain parts of your face. Even if you're not someone who likes to go all out with their look, the new diamond lip trend might make you rethink your new routine.

TikTok user Eva Larosa created the diamond lip trend, creating the perfect shimmery look without gluing gems. The diamond lip trend includes products you likely already have on your vanity. It involves using shimmery eyeshadows, metallic colored pencils, neutral lip liners, and a clear lip gloss.

The diamond lip technique is simple and only takes four steps to achieve. First, line your cupid's bow with the metallic liner, and fill in the center of your top and bottom lip. Then, smudge the liner for a messy look across your lips, and line the rest with your pink lip liner. Finally, apply your lip gloss and dab a shimmery eyeshadow in the center of your lips. You end up with a glimmering look that's perfect for any time of the day. Here are a few colors to try out for the trend.

Go neutral

Recreate Larosa's look with a twist; use a similar metallic lip liner on your cupid's bow and fill in the center of your lips. Instead of lining the rest of your lips with a pink lip liner, opt for pink shimmery lipstick on the outer parts of your lips. Or, swipe the lipstick over your lips to evenly spread out the metallic lip liner. Finish off the look with a clear lip gloss and pink glitter lip gloss, or leave it as it is.

Be bold with red

A red lip has become part of most people's daily makeup routine; it's no longer saved for special occasions. So, amplify the look with shimmer to create the perfect red diamond lip. Most eyeshadow palettes have a red shimmer shade, so you can add some on top of your lipstick for a finishing touch if you don't want to add it before. Red makeup products can get messy, so you'll want some cotton rounds or Q-tips nearby in case of any slip-ups.

Stand out with green

Opt for a green makeup look if you want to make heads turn. Green diamond lips can be paired with a green eye (in this case, with bats!) to create a cohesive look rather than letting the green lip stand alone. It's perfect for any occasion, from a Tinker Bell or Shego Halloween costume to a night out with the girls to a stroll through the mall. Achieve the look with green lip liner, lipstick, and shimmery eyeshadow. You can also add yellow glitter eyeshadow for extra sparkle.

Try a glittery lipstick

In the case that you don't have every product to complete the diamond look, you can make use of what you do have. For example, if you don't have metallic lip liners, use any pink or bronze lip liners you have to line and fill in your lips. You can add shimmery eyeshadows to fill in the center or apply glittery lipstick or lip gloss if you want something easier. Tom Ford's Soleil Balm Frost Lip Balm is the perfect neutral pink with a touch of shimmer for $58.

Hot pink

A fun way to spice up an outfit is through makeup. If you're wearing something more casual, doing an entire glam look can spruce up your whole look. A pink lip always adds a flirty touch, but hot pink is daring. Try out a hot pink lip for the diamond trend with shimmery silver eyeshadow on top of your favorite pink lipstick. Leave the rest of the makeup simple for the daytime, and add some blue and pink eyeshadow for a nighttime look to wow your friends.

Add a touch of yellow

If you prefer something more subtle, follow your go-to lip routine but add a touch of yellow shimmery eyeshadow for the diamond effect. You can add as much or as little as you want to your lips if you have a bolder eye look. However, to prevent a patchy look, dab the yellow eyeshadow only in the center of your lips for perfect diamond results. Wear this look out to brunch with friends or going to get your nails done. You'll get compliments from everyone you pass by.
