The Complete Transformation Of Raegan Revord

Most who follow Raegan Revord's career probably know them as Missy Cooper from the show "Young Sheldon." Even though they've caught lots of attention playing Sheldon's sister over the years, there are so many other facets to this young actor's career. Not only have they had other notable roles in big TV shows like "Modern Family" and "Grace and Frankie," but they also have big aspirations for a career in writing. 

Something else that makes Revord so interesting is their balanced approach to life. In a pandemic-era talk with A Book Of, they opened up about how they spend their time when they're not acting, saying, "I read a lot. I always have a book with me wherever I go. Writing is my other passion. I started writing a book during quarantine. One day, I hope to turn all these books I've been working on into movies or shows. And, of course, hanging out with my friends. These days, we only hang out at each other's houses, but it's fun because my friends live on a lake, so we are able to kayak and boat around. We skate and bike around the neighborhood — it feels normal."

Along with having an already interesting career for someone so young, they've proven themselves to be incredibly stylish. There's no doubt that being in the public eye from such a young age could feel like a challenge, but that hasn't stopped Revord from knocking it out of the park style-wise time and time again. From adorable purple dresses and space buns in their early years on the red carpet to elegant black dresses and pastel short shorts later on, Revord has shown that their sense of style is only continuing to grow and develop along with their blossoming career. 

In the mid-2010s, Raegan Revord got their start with a small role on a big show, "Modern Family." While they'd had other small roles before, this appearance was truly their big break. In their talk with A Book Of, they opened up about what got them into acting in the first place. "I've always had a passion for entertaining and making people laugh," Revord said. "My parents probably have hundreds of hours of footage of me putting on plays and concerts for them. I would get dressed up and make a stage out of anything!"

After expressing their love of performing, Revord explained how that enjoyment of the spotlight naturally transitioned into a career, "Obviously when I was three or four years old I didn't know you could make a career out of it! My mom's friend connected her to an owner of an agency and she started representing me. Pretty soon after that, I started booking a lot of commercials and once I saw myself on TV I wanted more."

Throughout this early period in Revord's career, we also got glimpses of their future style choices. Often wearing their hair loose and donning things like simple, striped T-shirts, Revord's look was the epitome of all-American and adorable.

In 2017, Raegan Revord was spending a lot more time on the red carpet because they landed their biggest role yet: that of Missy Cooper on the show "Young Sheldon." Getting a significant role on a TV show didn't just mean Revord was busy working; it also meant they were really showcasing their developing style in the public eye.

At the Summer TCA Tour, Revord wore an adorable outfit that really showed off their sense of fun. Wearing a long-sleeved sequin top and a magenta skirt, the look had plenty of glitz and color. They accessorized it with strappy nude sandals and a purple flower in their hair. Revord wore their sandy-blond locks loose, with one small braid off to the side creating a charming and girly look. 

At the premiere of George Balanchine's "The Nutcracker" that year, they rocked another fun and playful look. This time, they hit the red carpet in a purple dress with a velvet bodice and ballerina graphics around the skirt that showed an early interpretation of the balletcore fashion aesthetic. Once again, they paired it with nude sandals and a simple blue barrette in their hair.

The year 2018 was another busy one for Raegan Revord, as they continued to play the role of Missy Cooper (they even received a Young Artist Award nomination for the role that year!) and attend more red carpets in fun and charming ensembles. Now, though, their playful red-carpet looks were beginning to look ever so slightly more grown up. At the premiere of "The Christmas Chronicles," Revord wore a long-sleeved dress with a purple floral print. They paired the flowy, ruffled dress with a simple half-up, half-down side-parted hairstyle.

While attending the premiere of "Show Dogs," Revord was sporting another floral look with plenty of girly appeal. The bodice of their sheer dress was covered in cute floral appliqués, and they paired it with white sandals. In 2019, Raegan Revord truly took their style up a notch. Not only were they playing around with a wider range of colors and textures, but they were also beginning to get more adventurous with their hairstyles, as well. On their way to the Los Angeles premiere of "Shazam!," Revord was snapped wearing a red Oscar de la Renta dress with tiered ruffles, a furry tiger-print jacket, and strappy black sandals, along with a black clutch and diamond stud earrings. Not only did this look have a super-glam vibe, but it also displayed an easy-going elegance, too. With this style, they wore their hair in one of their go-to looks: half-up and half-down.

At the "Dumbo" premiere that year, Revord showed off another playful look that involved a lot of fun color and texture. Their pink-and-green tulle dress featured floral details around the collar, and they paired it with black heels. Revord was trying new things when it came to their hair, and their small space buns looked adorable and added a whole new level of fun to the ensemble. It also appeared that they were wearing blush, which was a new element in their red-carpet style.

During the 2020 quarantine, Raegan Revord wasn't hitting red carpets, but they were sharing snapshots of their life on their Instagram account. In April of that year, they shared a photo sitting at their piano and wearing a red-and-white baseball tee. They were also rocking a trendy and fun tie-dye bucket hat (one of the many Y2K fashion trends that came back in style in 2024), with their hair hanging in loose waves. In May of that year, they shared other parts of their life, too. Revord's love of reading was on full display. Wearing a red ruffle-sleeved tee and posing with a red book, they shared their book-of-the-month pick, "The Leavers," and captioned the post with a brief explanation of the book's plot. Along with that, Revord urged followers who may not be able to afford new books to check out all of the free resources available.

In the summer of 2021, Raegan Revord shared one of their more laid-back looks on Instagram. Attending a Dodgers game, Revord wore a striped tee, ripped jeans, and a bucket hat. Along with the photo, they added the caption, "Finally went to a Dodgers game. I think this means I'm officially an Angeleno now."

Revord wasn't just going to baseball games that year; they were also opening up about their role as Missy in "Young Sheldon." Remembering how they got the role in a talk with Glitter Magazine, Revord said, "When I got the audition, it was such a busy time. It was right in the middle of pilot season, and I was going out for other things, but I kept asking my mom about the Sheldon project. I just loved Missy so much and felt I related to her in a lot of ways. She's very independent and strong-willed. She definitely made me laugh, and I just knew she'd be a lot of fun to play." 

Revord also went into detail about what it was like to live through their character. "Although I am older than Missy, I get to experience a lot of things through her, like what it is like to have siblings, grow up in a different era, go to middle school, play sports, and heartbreak," they revealed. "I love how Missy handles certain situations. I think she is a pretty brave and confident girl. I am learning a lot from her."

By 2022, Raegan Revord was back on the red carpet, showing off cute and polished looks. One that stood out was the breezy outfit they wore at the "Prehistoric Planet" premiere that year. By pairing a white-denim jacket with a blue polka-dot dress, they created an outfit that was laid-back but ultra cute. A tan headband and matching sandals brought the whole look together.

Along with hitting the red carpet, Revord was discussing their experience as a child actor on "Young Sheldon" with Unclear Magazine: "It's crazy to think I've spent almost half of my life on this show. I wouldn't change it for anything, though. Our production has been so great about letting us be kids and not making us grow up too fast." 

Revord also opened up about their aspirations as a writer, explaining that they began the craft when they were just 6 years old. "I love writing because you can create your own setting and characters, and the sky really is the limit when it comes to creating stories," they relayed. "You can do just about anything, whether it's creating different galaxies or writing about somewhere you've been before that stuck with you. Writing is so different than acting because with acting, you are stepping into someone's world that was created for you. But when you're writing, you get to create their entire world. As a writer, you are more in control, so it's been really fun to have that freedom to create."

In 2023, it was clear that Raegan Revord's style was truly evolving. Now, they were trying new things and getting more adventurous with their outfit choices and makeup. At the White House Correspondents Garden Brunch that year, they looked ultra elegant and trendy in a shorts and cardigan outfit. By pairing pale-green hot pants, the ultimate revealing warm-weather trend, with a floral cardigan and some platform heels, they were taking classic elements and giving them a fresh spin. Not to mention, their outfit was on point for a garden brunch.

Also that year, Revord attended The Creative Coalition's #RightsToBearArts Gala in Washington, where they were combining classic elements with fresh silhouettes once again. Layering a black minidress with a white button-up shirt, Revord's look was simple. However, the black ribbon they wore around their neck and the puff sleeves of their shirt took the look to a whole new and more fashion-forward level. The other thing that's notable about this style is that Revord went with a bold pink lip, which was a stark departure from their often makeup-free or minimal-makeup looks.

This year, we got plenty of glimpses into Raegan Revord's off-duty style. Throughout the last half of 2023, they shared several vacation snaps (and pics of the T-Swift concert they attended!) while showing off their range of more relaxed styles. At a Taylor Swift concert, Revord wore a cute puff-sleeved dress with a bold star print all over it. The full-length dress had plenty of swishy charm, and they cinched it in with a black belt. They kept their hair look simple with two small braids around the crown of their head.

Also that year, Revord wore some comfy vacation styles. While visiting the United Kingdom, they appeared in an Instagram photo rocking the bigger-is-better extra-large handbag trend by carrying a huge mocha-brown tote — making them one of the first young celebrities to nail Pantone's 2025 Color of the Year, well in advance! They kept the whole look simple but trendy by wearing a white tee, thick-soled black sandals, and one of Revord's style staples: a bucket hat in bright green.

In 2024, Raegan Revord's fashion choices were becoming increasingly more polished and elegant. At the Gracies Awards, they donned a white dress with a black collar and wore their straight hair parted down the center. At the Thirst Gala that year, Revord wore a dramatic black dress with ruffled sleeves and buttons down the front. They accessorized with a bold choker necklace and wore their hair in a simple half-up half-down style. Both of these looks highlight an increasing sophistication in their red-carpet choices and prove that they know all the ways, both posh and casual, to style a little black dress.

Revord wasn't just evolving on the red carpet, though. While talking to Screen Rant, the star opened up about the evolution that their character Missy Cooper had undergone over the years, too. "Whenever we first start the show, she's this sassy little girl who's very opinionated," Revord said. "She doesn't really take no for an answer. That's kind of how she is in the beginning. But then, as she gets older, she starts having more layers, she starts having more emotions, and there are scenes where she's softer and sweeter. The Missy and George bonding scenes are my favorite thing ever and my favorite to film."

By the last half of 2024, Raegan Revord was continuing their theme of finding classy ways to make cute trends their own. Along with sharing plenty of posts of themselves and their pets cuddled up in the cold weather, they also shared posts that give us a glimpse of their street style. In an Instagram post, they shared a cute and casual Christmas look that they wore while out and about in London. In the pic, they can be seen holding a coffee and wearing a quilted olive-colored winter coat with a ruffled collar. They let their shoulder-length hair hang in soft waves and captioned the post, "Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays from the most magical city."

Revord was also continuing to look put-together on every red carpet they attended. For example, at a Hello Sunshine Shine Away event, they wore a dark-gray cropped top and cropped black pants, which they paired with platform heels. With their go-to half-up half-down hairstyle in place, Revord once again showed that they know exactly how to pull off the latest trends with laid-back charm.
