Spring 2026 Fashion Trends You'll Be Seeing Everywhere

With the warmer months finally here, you're probably getting ready to break out that one too-light-for-winter outfit from wardrobe jail — and we totally get it. The good news is that spring 2026 isn't only an opportunity to wear your favorite lightweight pieces, it's also the perfect reason to update your wardrobe according to the latest fashion trends. After all, who doesn't love a valid reason to shop? But here's the thing: when it comes to fashion trends, there's a fine line between being up-to-date and being yet another boring iteration of an overdone look.

The secret to understanding this balance is getting expert advice, styling and accessorizing like a pro, and ditching fast fashion pieces that cheapen looks and easily wear out. To make the best of the spring and our hard-earned cash, Glam spoke exclusively to Amanda Vargus, an expert stylist and the founder of Wave + Woven Style House.

We wanted to know what fashion trends would dominate 2026 and how to mix trendy styling with individualism. And according to Vargus, the key is embracing the death of minimalism and the resurgence of individuality. "This spring is the full return to more maximalist trends," she says. "I think we're going to see a lot of interesting interpretations and styling this year versus wearing pieces more straightforward."

Lace details are back like they never left for spring 2026

We've always maintained that lace slip dresses are perfect for a flirty vibe for spring, and stylist Amanda Vargus certainly agrees — but with a twist. Rather than limiting yourself to full lace outfits, add a lace detail over a top, skirt, or dress to give your outfit texture and detail without leaning into boring stereotypes. Not sure what counts as a lace detail? Vargus shared her top recommendation during our exclusive chat: "Pair an asymmetric lace slip dress — like this one from Zara — over a jean with a strappy heel for night time or lace shorts with a leather knee high boot."

The idea behind using lace details for spring fashion isn't just to avoid boring repetition or open more room for styling. It also adds textures and layers, which, in turn, add contrast and erase that flat or boring feel. Plus, high-quality lace pieces look luxe, don't itch, and can last for years to come. Some other lace details you could consider are a lace blouse with your favorite structured pants, a lace camisole beneath a blazer, or an over-the-top lace skirt with a simple top or T-shirt.

Funnel neck jackets are perfect for the cooler spring 2026 days

As winter transforms to spring, we're bound to have some of those days that aren't super cold, but aren't warm either. There are also the cooler spring mornings and evenings you'll want to be prepared for. Sure, you could throw on a basic top, but you could also look trendy and stay perfectly warm with the right funnel neck jacket. But before you go digging out that one winter-safe jacket, here's what you need to know: the right funnel neck jacket for spring fashion needs to be made of fabric that isn't too thick and can hold up a structured look.

This is why style expert Amanda Vargus recommends a funnel neck jacket like the Lennon Jacket from Reformation. It's made of a stretch sateen fabric with a cotton base, which means two important things: it's breathable, thanks to the cotton, and it is structured and polished because of the sateen. As for how to style it, Vargus shared her recommendations during our exclusive interview. "Try dressing this up with a pencil skirt and pumps for an unexpected top." You'll want to wear pumps instead of other heel trends that are outdated for 2026, because they'll keep up with the trendy theme you'll have going on.

Your spring 2026 wardrobe needs a hint of fringe

We admit that western wear has done a number on fringe, but style expert Amanda Vargus believes it's back and better for spring 2026. "Fringe is so fun as it creates beautiful movement to any garment," she tells Glam exclusively. Not only does it lean into the maximalist theme that has taken over 2026, but it's a lightweight way to decorate and give coverage.

One of the most popular ways to wear fringes is with a jacket, but Vargus predicts that this spring will have fringe in different ways. "You can elevate an evening skirt or look with a more delicate, high-fashion fringe moment," she shared.

As for recommendations, she's a fan of the Za Za knit fringe skirt by Simon Miller, but if skirts aren't your cup of tea, there are so many other ways to incorporate fringes into your wardrobe. A really fun option is fringe dresses, which are one of our favorite super-extra fashion trends and can be styled in so many ways. Other options are fringe tops and accessories like fringe bags, shoes, and even jewelry, so you can choose how much or how little fringe you want in your outfit.

Silk scarves are a versatile accessory for spring 2026

If you don't already have a silk scarf, now's the time to get one, according to stylist Amanda Vargus. She explains that these scarves add interest to any look and are versatile, as silk scarf styling can be done in many ways. If you're wondering why experts like Vargus recommend silk and not just any other material for spring fashion, it's because of three key things. One: silk is one of the best materials for a high-end feel. It also lasts really well, and can bring value and hold its own in any outfit.

During our exclusive chat, Vargus also shared her favorite ways to style a silk scarf: "Tie around your neck with a button-down or use a larger scarf around the waist," she says. "For poolside or resort, wear a head scarf. For everyday wear, tie it around your bag handle for a chic pop." If you're looking for the right piece to buy, Vargus recommends the 100% Silk Headscarf from Nordstrom. It's bold, it's multicolored, and it's perfect for spring 2026.

Unique and artistic jewelry is the way to go in spring 2026

"This year, go bold and chunky," expert stylist Amanda Vargus advises when it comes to jewelry. Spring 2026 isn't a season for understated or muted pieces, and the good news is that it gives room for those unique but non-mainstream pieces that speak to you. If you enjoy thrifting or making your own jewelry, this will be easy for you to incorporate. "Lean into pieces that give a one-of-a-kind vintage vibe," Vargus says. "Add unexpected 'jewels' like a brooch to your lapel or sweater, or a statement belt buckle."

One really unique piece she recommended during our exclusive interview was the Clarke Cuff Bracelet in Gold from Revolve. If you find that many of your jewelry leans basic, there are several things you can do to change this. The most popular, of course, is thrifting, which is great for finding affordable and one-of-a-kind pieces, but another way is to patronize small businesses. While larger jewelry stores often have more affordable and mass-produced pieces, small businesses produce in smaller batches, and many are even open to customizing pieces they already have.

The final thing to keep in mind when wearing jewelry, especially for spring fashion, is how to combine it with an outfit without one overwhelming the other. A straightforward solution is the seven-point rule for fashion. Assign each piece you're wearing a mark: one for basic wear, like a simple top, or two for statement pieces, like a unique piece of jewelry or a lace detail. The aim is to have your outfit fall between seven and ten. If it goes under, you're not styling enough. And if it goes over, you just might need to tone something down.
