The Subtle Moment That Proved Christina Haack & Heather Rae El Moussa's Friendship Is 100% Real

Ever since news broke in 2019 that "Selling Sunset" star Heather Rae Young and HGTV star Tarek El Moussa are together, many were quick to draw comparisons between El Moussa's new girl and his ex-wife, fellow HGTV star Christina Haack. Both ladies are blond, stunning, and successful, and in the world of entertainment, female rivalry is, unfortunately, a fan-favorite topic. However, while many expected the two celebs to be sworn enemies, Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa's BFF relationship became the best positive co-parenting story in the media. The two are great at having a blended family — Tarek has two children with Haack and one with his current wife, Heather. What's more, their relationship goes far beyond just co-parenting.

When Haack revealed on her Instagram story in early 2025 that she had borrowed a date-night dress from Heather, fans learned that these two aren't spending time together just because of their kids. Previously, Heather had shared photos of herself wearing the sultry red lace dress during the holidays in 2024, when she paired the piece with a gold choker and gold heels. Just months later, Haack paired the dress with a silver choker as she was headed to a Mar-A-Lago night out with her boyfriend, businessman Christopher Larocca. "Thanks for lending me the gorgeous dress," Haack wrote alongside the photo (via People). Swapping clothes is the ultimate proof these two are truly besties. After all, sharing your clothes is something you only do with those you trust. 

Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa got to know each other well after working on the HGTV series "The Flip Off." After spending time together on set, the two became even closer, and with their blended family, it seems as if they see each other regularly. Haack herself revealed their secret to co-parenting with exes, but her friendship with El Moussa goes beyond their shared motherhood. Apart from working together and ensuring their children have a great relationship, Hack and Heather also hang out without their kids.

In summer 2025, the two ladies went on a couple of great double-dates with their partners, and they even gave us glimpses of their nights online. In June 2025, Tarek El Moussa shared a pic of the four enjoying a meal, and his ex-wife, Haack, commented, "Actually, one of my fav couples to double date with ... never a dull moment." (via People).

Back in 2024, Haack told People that she is happy Heather is in her children's lives. "We've actually been close for a while now. We communicate about the kids all the time. She's an amazing stepmom — the kids love her so much," she said at the time. And it certainly seems as if their friendship has only flourished since. In May 2026, the two ladies recorded a YouTube video together for Heather's channel, in which they can be seen chit-chatting while doing their makeup. Getting ready together is one of the ultimate girlhood experiences, and for these two is proof that they have become true friends.
