Fall 2026: The Cool-Weather Accessory Trends You'll Be Seeing Everywhere

To say we're ready for the fall season is an understatement. While we've certainly let the most stylish TV characters be our fall 2026 outfit inspo already, we've also decided to take notes on all the cool-weather accessory trends we're starting to see everywhere. Of course, we couldn't help but share. This season, it's all about taking basic fall staples and getting creative with how we wear them. Whether that's wearing a scarf as a belt or rocking a summery skullcap in the middle of fall, folks are saying no to the old ways of doing things when it comes to fashion. 

We love to see it. Because September and on is cooler for most areas, it's easy to fall back (pun intended) into familiar but sometimes boring outfit patterns — a basic jean here, a knit sweater there— but we're excited to see fashionistas changing all that and keeping things fresh this year. This fall, instead of wearing a scarf traditionally, why not mix it up a bit? As of late, we're seeing scarves worn every which way to Sunday. Now, folks are carrying bags that are certainly small, but just the right size to fit all your essentials — wallet, keys, phone, and lip balm — without adding bulk to your outfit. 

There are so many silhouettes to play with here. You can opt for more of a rectangular-shaped tiny bag or a half-moon shape. Think textures here as well.
