One of the best things about ushering in a new season is giving your style a revamp, and for winter 2026-2027, we're dreaming in color. Ahead of New York Fashion Week in September 2026, Pantone predicted 10 colors expected to dominate the runways and, in turn, show up in our winter looks and beyond. If you're like us and always on the hunt for tips for infusing more color into your wardrobe, this is great news. Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said these colors, a mix of dopamine-inducing hues and natural tones, "encourage individual expression and continuous experimentation."

Glam also reached out to Amy Ellzey, principal consultant for Colour Me Beautiful – LA, and asked her to weigh in on the colors making a comeback for winter 2026-2027. Pointing to Pantone's picks, Ellzey told Glam exclusively, "The future is looking bright with colors that look happy, hopeful, and even like we get to go on a cruise vacation mid-winter. Sun-kissed colors predominantly of orange, red, pink, and yellow promise joyful days of whimsy." With that, let's have some fun with color.

Add some spicy flavor to your wintertime 'fits with Chili Pepper red

Amy Ellzey calls Chili Pepper a "great hot accent pop" in our exclusive chat, and no wonder why. The deep red brings that rich, moody energy that we like during the colder months while still delivering a vibrancy and spiciness that's sure to infuse energy into our winter 2026-2027 'fits. And its earthiness makes it great for wearers who still like to keep things toned down. Pair a dark red blouse with beige slacks or a pair of jeans, or reach for a midi skirt and your favorite jacket. Or, like Ellzey suggests, opt for a fun bag or pair of shoes.

Anise Flower yellow is the cool neutral your winter outfits need

Who says a pale yellow is only for spring? Anise Flower yellow is the sunny twist your winter 2026-2027 outfits need, and it's the perfect way to make a neutral color palette more interesting. Amy Ellzey calls the beige-y, buttery hue "exotically ethereal." It's perfect as an all-over moment — say via a relaxed suit, or a skirt and top combo — or it works nicely as a layering piece. You'll want to keep warm during the wintertime, after all. During our exclusive chat, Ellzey suggests pairing the lighter hue with dark navy for a head-turning contrast.

Find your inner royal this winter with a pop of Princess Blue

To settle Pantone's Princess Blue, think of a slightly dusty shade of cobalt. The royal hue is bound to make your winter 2026-2027 outfits sing. "Princess Blue trumpets commemoration, excites the classic blue, and would be the color to turn to for a great winter coat or bag," Amy Ellzey tells Glam exclusively. We couldn't agree more. We're also loving the idea of work slacks or a cocktail dress in the luxurious shade, perfect to make those holiday party rounds.

Shoo away humdrum hues with the help of Dragon Fire orange

If you're looking for a super juicy hue that's bound to stave off the winter blues, reach for Dragon Fire orange. The cool hue is brighter than expected, but it still makes sense for winter 2026-2027, especially up against your classic earthy neutrals. It's "ablaze with verve and energy," Amy Ellzey shares exclusively with Glam. That's just what we need as the days get shorter and shorter. Think of the dopamine-inducing color when you're shopping for your go-to coat, your new favorite sweater, or that fun going-out skirt

Light and refreshing Daiquiri Green is just right for the winter months

Daiquiri Green is the perfect example of how the colors making a comeback for winter 2026-2027 are shades that have a transportive power. We might be dashing through the snow, but that doesn't mean we can't feel like we're sipping a drink in a tropical location. This particular shade of whisper soft yellow-green puts a subtle spin on a cool-weather, earth-toned neutral. A little bit playful and plenty charming, we can see it popping up in coats, sexy dresses, and statement bags all season long.

Use juicy Hibiscus red to infuse life into your winter wardrobe

Whether planning monochromatic outfits to inspire your one-tone looks, or looking for a pop of color via a statement accessory, tropical Hibiscus red is the Pantone-approved move. Characterized by its hint of pink-toned berry — à la holiday punch — this is the winter 2026-2027 shade for the color lovers who wouldn't dare let a little cold cramp their style. As Amy Ellzey tells Glam exclusively, "Show-stopping reds excite our basic blacks." And this one, she says, is "bold, vivid, and cool."

Channel the icy energy of wintertime with Waterfall teal

If you want to use your 'fits to conjure up ice princess vibes, in the best possible way, then look to Waterfall teal come winter 2026-2027. The dopamine-inducing shade of blue-green is guaranteed to invite notice and boost moods all arounds. Wear the color with denim for a blue-on-blue moment, or lean into maximalism with black or chocolate brown for a graphic contrast. And who doesn't love a look-over-here coat? Whimsical fur or a longline wool might be just the move.

Use Langoustino coral to add a little oceanic etherealness to your winter looks

For the minimalist style lovers who are all about a natural-feeling neutral but still want to turn their winter 2026-2027 color story up just a notch, then Langoustino coral is worth a glance. This rich red-brown color should be on your radar for the way it delivers a sense of etherealness and liveliness while still reading down-to-earth. As Amy Ellzey exclusively tells Glam, "A more subdued coral will offer a great option to warm up those standby winter grays in your wardrobe."

For whimsical femininity this wintertime, reach for Rosy Future pink

Pink may feel more at home during the summer months, but we expect, in this season of self-expression and hope, that bubblegum-inspired hues will show up regularly in our wardrobes come winter 2026-2027. "Aptly named for this season of optimism and eschewing cynicism, 'Rosy Future' is a banner color to tout in a beautiful dress, sweater, or scarf," notes Amy Ellzey in our exclusive chat. We also think a pair of wide-leg slacks, a fun pair of shoes, or a cozy coat would look great in the spirited shade of pink.

Lavender Oil, a soft purple, is guaranteed to ground yet excite all winter long

For fashion lovers, the winter months are all about embracing the calm of the season in a way that still allows you to have fun with your look. Enter: Lavender Oil. This shade of super soft purple pulls from its name with its sense of serenity, making it the perfect addition to your winter 2026-2027 closet. Earthy with a side of whimsy, shades in the lavender and lilac family work beautifully in smart blouses and fun accessories, and pair nicely with rich earth tones: think olive greens, burnt tans, and deep grays.
