The fashion set knows that Cara Delevingne has the face of an angel, but it looks like Hollywood sees it, too. The British model is set to have a leading role in The Face of an Angel, a movie based on the Amanda Knox story.
The Mirror reported that “it doesn’t look like Cara will be playing Foxy Knoxy but she will have a major role, as the director wants to focus on events surrounding the trail and the people who’s lives were affected by it.”
Internet Movie Database listed Cara as third in the cast, just below Kate Beckinsale and Daniel Brühl, respectively. The film is based loosely on the book Angel Face: Sex, Murder and the Inside Story of Amanda Knox by journalist Barbie Latza Nadeu which tells the story of Meredith Kercher, a British student studying in Perugia, Italy, who was found murdered in the apartment that she shared with Knox.
In the film adaptation, Brühl is a filmmaker tasked with writing a film about the murder. Delevingne will play his love interest while Beckinsale acts as the journalist. The film is currently in post-production, though, with the recent news of Knox being found guilty after previously being found innocent, we're sure changes had to be made to the script.
Pretty heavy for Delevingne, right? This will be the 21-year-old’s third movie, and considering she skipped most of Spring 2014 New York Fashion Week, save for Marc Jacobs, she may be officially headed to Hollywood soon!
