Today marks the launch of Dove's Ad Makeover campaign, perfect for International Women's Day. The campaign, taking place both here in the U.S. and in 18 other countries globally, realizes that advertising can negatively impact self-esteem. Dove is working to change that by giving the power to women. Allowing them to send positive messages to other women through a Facebook app. Kind of amazing, no? Think of the how many women could potentially be reached!

Dove is using auction-style bidding systems used to purchase ads to increase the numbers positive messages women see. You can then select one of eight positive beauty messages like, "Your birthday suit suits you" and "Every body is beautiful" that will appear on Facebook. We think this is a great idea, Dove!
