Mallory has been pursuing a career in writing since her sophomore year of college, starting with a nomination to be included in the 2019 issue of the University of Michigan's undergraduate anthology, Café Shapiro. Following the publication of that short story, she earned a journalist position at Chicago-based music news website RedRoll, writing part-time while finishing her double major. Upon graduating, Mallory was hired as an e-commerce reporter for MLive Media Group, a Michigan-based media company servicing the entire state. And now, alongside her work at MLive, she seeks out long-form freelance opportunities from sources like Michigan Green State and Glam.

Mallory has a bachelor's degree with a double major in English and women's & gender studies with a minor in Spanish language & literature from the University of Michigan.
