- As a fitness and wellness journalist and yoga instructor with over 200 hours of yoga training, Shawna is completely immersed in the world of yoga. In addition to practicing and teaching yoga, she loves sharing her expertise regarding the practice through her writing.
- Recently, Shawna launched her new fitness, wellness, and lifestyle blog: Froing and Flowing. There, she shares yoga sequences to help ease your body through certain ailments and situations, wellness tips, skincare favorites, and natural hair advice with her audience.
- Shawna once took on the opportunity to teach yoga at a retreat in Costa Rica and fell in love with the beautiful plants and scenery so much that when she came back to the states, she was inspired to write an article about plants and their connection to mental health for Healthline. That article was shared and featured numerous times, including on the popular health and wellness Instagram page, Get Loved Up.
Experience
Growing up as an avid reader who loved jotting down her thoughts and dreams in a journal, Shawna always knew she wanted to write professionally at some point in her life. After graduating from college with both her associate's and bachelor’s in journalism, she wrote for multiple publications including HEARST, mindbodygreen, Livestrong, BLK + GRN, and Healthline to name a few. As a military spouse and mom who loves to travel, she’s happy to be a part of the team at Glam where she has the freedom to write about what she loves and do so from anywhere in the world.
Education
Shawna graduated from Texas A&M University-San Antonio. A few years later, she studied for over 200 hours to become a 200-hr RYT.
