Experience

Danielle began her career in the parenting magazine sector as an editorial assistant at Big Apple Parent working under founder (and her greatest mentor), Helen Freedman. She steadily moved up the editorial ladder at various NYC-based magazines, eventually becoming Managing Editor at NYMetroParents, gaining a wealth of experience in overseeing both the print and digital editorial operations of the magazines. Specializing in health and wellness, she has written on various health topics and conditions for magazines and websites, including the expert cancer website SurvivorNet. Her areas of specialty include pregnancy, reproduction, thyroid disease, cancer treatments, and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). Her article “POTS: The Teen Disease You’ve Probably Never Heard Of” went viral within 24 hours of being posted. Danielle turned to her passion for medicine and health and became a health columnist for New York Parenting. In addition, she has also been a writer for the popular parenting blog, Disney’s Babble, as well as Contributing Editor for New York Family Magazine, a monthly columnist for Charlottesville Family, and a contributing writer for Midwifery Today, Mommy Poppins, and Brooklyn Paper.
