Masie has been working as a journalist since 2019, starting out her career in student media at Louisiana State University. Since then, she's branched out to cover a wide variety of topics at publications including inRegister Magazine, Unpublished Zine, and Daily Advertiser. In 2022, she was selected as a finalist for the Society of Professional Journalist's Diamond Journalism Award for her piece on the effects of online education. When she's not writing, she enjoys studying trends in design and spending time with her rescue cat, Salem.


Masie has a bachelor of arts in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This program allowed her to gain important real-world experience, learn necessary components of AP style and ethics, and foster connections within the community.
